Well you know an update is imminemt at some point, but even on the losi forums, i haven't heard any word or confirmation of a 3.0 buggy or truggy. If anything does come out it won't be until next spring is my guess. I have no idea about mugen but i'm guessing its the same situation.

Yes new mugen soon to come MBX6r and for losi there is the 2.0EU and im sure soon there will be a new losi buggy/truggy aswell. Im interested to see what is brought to the table because after seeing serpent, durango, agma they are all so diffrent from original buggys as setup and look goes.

Well if you google "8ight 3.0", you'll come up with very little. So if they do have something in the works then they are keeping a tight lid on it. From what adam drake has said i don't think you'll see losi coming out with a new buggy or truggy anytime soon, i'm guessing next year there will not be an update. The EU spec 2.0 is just a buggy made for european tracks as they don't have nearly the size of jumps we do in north america. It handles alittle better but it doesn't soak up large jumps as well. From the sounds of it Losi is standing pat, at least for now. Personally i don't see what more they can do to create a better buggy or truggy.

I think those who come out with new versions every year or so are doing more harm than good. People get tired of useless minor updates that make their current setup seem older than it really is. I know i'd be annoyed to update my setup every year a new spec came out. Seemingly losi tends to go all in when making a model unlike some of these other guys who make a few tweaks and slap a 2010 or 2011 spec on the end.

yeah true. Im sure a new buggy is in the works for losi and the EU i know what it was made for i just put it out there for example look at Xray there euro and its mostly xray at my lhs. I will be happy to see losi do like they are just fix a few lil things here and there. Servos are kinda an issue only hitec seems to last with them but other than that losi is flawless. LOL i watched a losi win intermediate buggy at round 6 jbrl with a broken diff case and a lap ahead.Scott is a great driver tho also.

If history means anything then losi will release their new car/update (3.0) after worlds.. you'll see only a few manufacturers release cars at random.. most release the cars biannually (roughly) and usually on during a worlds year or soon after the event. (Kyosho, Agama, Serpent, Durango, Intech, JQP, O'Donnell, and Xray has already shown pics of their 2011spec even though they update yearly ) and I guess like it was posted above mugen has a new one coming too

yep after worlds is when you start to look for a new car. with the yearly updated cars not much is ever changed so to me its never even a big deal.

I just bought my 2 8 2.0's this spring. I'm not ready to switch anytime soon. I'll be running these for the next few years at the very least. I just got done upgrading my buggy to race roller specs

I just put my own clunks in my cars. I just buy the clunk and drill a hole in the tank and making sure that the fuel line is snug with the hole feed the line in and put the clunk on. Works GREAT.

Man if losi released a new car, not just an eu type update, I would drop the 2.0 instantly.
