Werks B5 or Novarossi S21P5XLT?

What kind of runtime did you see before you tried to lean it out?

werks b6 and b5 I have ran every engine out there nova,rb,speeds,JS...I have 5 gallons on my b6 and 4 on my b5...no issues at all....
no matter what engine you pick you will be happy, just pick the one that fits your budget.

Your not the only one believe me i remember quad racer shutting off in the main a couple times when i raced in ohio. he was standing next to me on the stand.
I had ghost flames going on with mine. Live and ya learn. It works for some people.
A friend of mine got a speed and the case cracked first time on the track and they said we'll sell you another for 300. That's just the way it is though with engines.

I dont understand maximo, I've seen multiple b5's and havent seen one run past 8. B6 on the other hand I have seen more running past 10.
My p5 gets 11+ in truggy, temping 225 most of the time. But as we know its not only the motor that contributes to gas mileage.

I just sold the engine and got some novarossi's. I have a nitrotec r21 and the 2010 plus 4c team.
Have almost 4 gal on the r21 ans she runs soo good i haven't tried the p4c team. There's only really two races left in the season soo i'll prolly just save that for next summer.

I have a b5 and a p5. And by far i like the b5 motor its easy to tune and for the price you can't beat them. No problems to report with the b5 with all most 3 gallons on it since has alot of compression. P5 was picked up really cheap used. When it goes i will by a b6. Love werks!!!

IDk what to say..it is what it is...The mod B5 makes insane power and is extremely good on fuel......I do have a good idea why it does so good on fuel, but I would just bore all of you with some long winded explanation....I will say tho that I manipulate the incoming flow pattern into he combustion chamber which in theory results in less fresh mixture being pumped out the tuned pipe...We make the extra power from burning more of the mixture and wasting less out the exhaust, which in turn also results in better runtimes..

So you angle it differently?
#41
Yes I do alter the intake angle on some of the ports, I also re-arrange the opening sequences of the ports as well ! I spend many hours a day under the magnifier altering the ports on my modified engines....it takes a little time and finesse, but in the end the ports on my modified engines will open and close more precisely and evenly then they do from factory...Eyes sure take a beating tho...

Nice. What do you charge to do a B5? 10 minutes or more run time would be nice. What pipe is that with? That is in a truggy I take it?
#43
a stock B5 in truggy will do 10 min pits all day long with out modding...
