Do it! There isn't a better steering servo made besides the 7950 and only when running unregulated lipo. If you're running NIMH the 7955 is the best you can buy.

ive sseen where some servos work on 6V how muxh voltage is a 1400 NiMH

That's a 5 cell NIMH pack, so 6V.

7955 with unregulated lipo is probably the best you can get. Last forever!!

You guys prefer the 7955 over the 7950? I'm running a brushless converted mbx6t and finally killed an older KO that's been a workhorse. No need to run anything unreg'd at 7.4v so 6v response/power is what I'm after.

The 7955 provide enough? Bout $30 cheaper.

It was rated at 185oz/in and .13 @ 6v and I response and power were pretty good.

theres just a lot of guys on here that are bias to hitec thats all.
futaba and, orion servos are just as good as long as you set the endpoints up good.

ive had my for about 2 years.

They're both awesome servos. I really love the 7950 running HV, but if you're just running 6v, the 7955 is more than enough. I don't think there's a tougher servo made.
