thats alot of running. im a full time college student right now and i cant afford buying tires so much so i dont practice much. wish i could, but i am starting too now. but your track has 4 hours of practice before a race?? thats crazy, most in my area doesnt unless you come the day before lol

i guess mine does the same now that i think about it, i just need to go earlier i guess, but like i said i dont practice much, so i show up late lol but it seems like the more practice i get the worse i do once the race starts. its weird and people dont understand it lol

well last year 2009 i spent around about 13000NZD. 10000US
but i bought a heap of new cars. new buggy, had to get myself into this short course buzz with a sc10. a heap of radio gear. i have 12 spare servos . 21 sets of tyres(my last set of bowties on my buggy lasted approx 2 months(3 race meets)
alot of pit gear. my own table, generator. power points built into my table.
only frame part i've bought is a vppro Vwing. i havnt broken my 808 in over a year. shows xray is just great.
grabbed about 3 go engines... funny story as the first one... still is going strong on 9gallons. other 2 are still in their box.
also have a speed, werks b6.got given the b6(was new) and had the speed for ages.

What's my budget?...my next paycheck...

As for my budget i guess i don't really have one. However, I'm a penny pincher and only willing to spend so much on a toy car. When I first got in this i really struggled with the costs even tho the money is there. Lately i've been having so much fun with it that it hasn't mattered too much. Just take care of life's necessities first and put some in savings and whatever is left spend it on entertainment. If your paycheck to paycheck racing your priorities are probably wrong. IMHO.

My budget comes directly from my sponcer (my wife). I get new parts when they are approved.
I buy a lot of used parts to keep costs down. But dont keep a total on what i spend, thats probably a good thing.

Most of my gear is bought 2nd hand, from servos to engines to my latest buggy. Only thing I buy new are parts that break, tyres, plugs, filters etc.
