Hard Pack blue groove tracks- red tapers
Loose packed dirt- red directionals
hard clay- red tapers or 8ribs
On hard packed, groove tracks, you can't go wrong with RED tapers front and rear.....treaded front tires will smooth out the steering and take away some of the twitchie ness you may experience. If you want more steering, go up to an 8rib. Experiment with foams....but remember, foams are related exactly to tire pressure.....more pressure (stiffer foam) will give less steering and vise-versa.

Yo Aaron -
Do you know if I send two bent turnbuckles and a bent CVD bone from my BK2 kit to Losi if they will replace them. Who should I send it to? (All happened over a course of 4 months...)
And Casper -
What's up? I'm the guy you helped last Wed at SoCal with my BK2 and binding shocks...thanks again!!!

nut-- Losi might take care of the tie rods. Get a set of lunsfords and your problems should go away. They are stronger and lunsford will replace them for free if you do bend them. The CVD bones are not backed. If they were bent from the start you could do something about that but bent from use is your deal. Get universal bones for the car. They work much better! Glad the shocks work better now!

HeY hEy!!!
Casper universals halp get rid of rear traction right???

No they give more traction. They help lock up the rear end. For some reason the Gen II tranny likes the universals more then the CVD's. It has been a while since I have run CVD's in a car but I did run them when the kit came out and when I went to universals the rear end did seem more constant.

Yeah Casper, I ran those CVD when I got the kit as well. When that one bent I switched to Universals. I just put some aluminum ones in and will make their debut at SoCal tomorrow. I noticed when marshalling pro-mod that they all were running them.
I also ran that ounce of weight up front and noticed a huge difference in steering. That will come in handy with Slim's rumored tight track change where he promised 30 sec laps....

Hey Casper, I was under the impression that the losi turnbuckles were made by lunsford, is this true?
Because about a year ago i sent a bent turnbuckle off of my xxxnt AD to lunsford and they replaced it. Did they make a mistake? I told them it was off of my xxxnt AD.

Losi asked for the BK2 turnbuckles be made to Losi's specifications. They story goes that losi wanted more threaded area and lunsford recommended against it. Lunsford made the tie rods per losi's requirement and they bend easy. Lunsford will not warrenty them since losi was warned that they should not be built that way. Losi may replace them but lunsford will not back them and can identify the losi tie rods buy the longer threaded portion and will not replace them. That is the story as I understand it.
