My Agama rocks! Just got back in town from a 2 day race up in rock springs and couldnt be happier. I Held TQ through 3 rounds of quals (the only buggy to go 13 laps) until the last round and got edged out by 2 seconds so I settled into 2nd position for the 30 min main.

The start of the main was surprisingly clean and I held 2nd until the 2nd lap and took the lead. I led until the first pit stop where I flammed on exit and lost about half a lap and went out of pit lane in third. I reeled 2nd in and battled for a lap or two and took 2nd with my sights on catching first. I could hear his 2013 pipe all over the track so I could tell I was catching him but lapped traffic and some mistakes on my part kept me from catching him. I ended up second overall. The car performed flawlessly, it was fast right from the get go with Levi's setup (I changed a few things). I was the only buggy to run a 32 second lap (ran several) and 1 of only 2 buggies to run 13 laps in 7mins.

The car was absolutely stellar, I came up a bit short because this is only the second race with it, the setup is dialed, I doubt I'll change much from here on out. Still havent broke a single part with over 2 gallons on the car, its holding up very well. A buddy asked me what Agama meant in spanish, I told him "finishes all races" lmao he's not finishing so much with his Losi's...... might have a few believers after this weekend. I couldnt get it out of everyones hands for trophy pictures lol

2 weeks until Lewiston Idahos great snake shootout.... entries are at 160 and still growing. Only 60ish at this one but top 5 racers from idaho and colorado made the trek.

Ok, just want to clear up a few things that I have not found on here unless I am overlooking them.
1. What pistons are everyone using, I can only find stock 6 hole.
2. What springs work on the shocks.

I have been running 7/7/3 in the diff and it seems to work great.

So who makes it then? Nanda or Caster or someone else?

I actually know the answer, but I bet a lot of others would want to know.

Please don't use any profanities when addressing me. Even If it's not directed at me, I was told by a very reliable source otherwise. If that information is incorrect then you all have my apologies.
My comment was not meant in a negative way. I dont care who makes this buggy, and I am sure the rest of us who drive it dont care either. Its as close to perfect as a buggy can get. Its not like I said its made by Bazooka

stock are 6 hole.... you can use odonnell 8 hole pistons, they are 17mm also. Thats what I used to get 8x1.3 in my agama shocks. They were good, I just dont have any other springs for them. The springs on my 16mm shocks felt good and the car picked up speed.

I didn't think Nanda / TQ has anything to do with the Agama?

OK

Nanda is a brand name.... from a factory in taiwan that makes MANY cars/parts for several brands.

TQ is only a brand/importer to the USA, they dont manufacture anything but fuel.

Nanda is not TQ and vice versa.. completely separate companies

Youve got to understand that there are only a few actual factories in taiwan that make parts for 20+ brands...... naturally each factory will manufacture for several brands. Would it matter if the parts were made at the same place that molds mugen parts? Not really, as long as the molds, design and materials are up to par, the parts are made to the brands specs. The Agama parts are definetly up to the task.

Several people have described the quality as good as xray. I've never owned an xray of any kind so I cant comment on that, but I've owned many buggies over the years and its just as good as anything else I've owned and its quickly earning its way to the top as one of my favorite cars.

Same thing as bicycles Tony..

Merida and Giant, are two of the biggest bicycle brands in the world, and only 2 of a few that actually have their own manufacturing plants in Taiwan / China.

90% of the bikes out there are made by either Giant or Merida, to their own specs, and using their own materials.

For example, I ride a Colnago, Italian bike, designed and tested in Italy, made in the Merida factory, using Colnago's own carbon fibre and fabrication methods, however utilising Merida's machinery and workers etc.

There are 100 different 1:8 buggies out there - if everyone was made in their own unique factory, imagine the cost!
