I will be racing this engine for the first time at sic this week. Break in was a
breeze. Needle setting's from factory are way off (1 to 1 1/2 turns to start)
I think this engine has a lot of potential and the RB die hard's will be more than pleased with the new mill.

Ran my killer 9 for the first time this past weekend, in my Jammin X2
More then pleased with the performance of this engine, broke in using the Heat cycle method! amazing. Still a ton of pinch, 3/4 gallon on it now Ran at 200 for the main, still way fat too bad its getting soo cold here in canada and i will have to lay it to rest till the spring after 1 more race

All RB engines are NR based apart from the Killer 9 which is still a ghost on the market!!
So far it sounds like this engine is gona be a good one!!!

Hey Jud hit me up too if you have any problems. I am hoping to unleash mine this weekend. I put 3/4 gallon with 25% Byron's race blend on the break in and she is still tight as all hell. I will switch to 25% Byron's Pro driver after the break in for a little more crisp throttle response. I did notice the carb is a little more tuning sensitive compared to the other RB's.Get your hands on some O'Donnell 97T they last a great while.
Looks like the weather is going to keep me from a proper breakin
. I may have to hold off until the spring. And I will be sure to get plenty of Odonell plugs

Well I've finally to got run my Killer 9 and so far its running good. I raced it real rich yesterday and it had decent power. I didn't want to lean on it too hard since its still really tight. I tried running the RB5 plug that came with it and the timing seemed off and temps were high. I switched to the ODO 97T and it likes this plug. I'm going to run it some more today and lean it out. so far so good. i would say this is a good mill to run and no carb leaks or fuel coming from strange places like my Trinity motor. I did add a .1mm shim.
I had some initial problems with starting this motor. Reminded me of the old S7 motors that were real tight when new. I preheated the motor and the carb seem to vapor lock and I couldn't prime it. I had to prime it with the ignitor off to get some fuel into the carb. now that I can start it without preheating it starts fine, but still gets stuck tdc and I'm close to a 1/2 gallon thru it.

How is the power and runtime compared to some of your other engines on the same track???

Week two with my Killer 9, speed is right up there with the best of them. I am netting 9+ runtimes on a wide open track. I am still having a problem with the carb not returning back to a closed position even after deburring the carb slide alittle before my drill died. I will try polishing the slide again to see if it gets any better. The engine has very usuable power, it felt like I was driving a electric truggy with the smooth throttle response.

I'm getting about 8 min a tank temps around
190. Bottom is still rich but this motor is
up there with the best of them. Throttle

the bottom rich. I thought it was lean on bottom
we tempted it and still under 200. Very fast and I'm sure more guys
will jump on board now they see what it can
