the only quiet ones are the hondas.....the yamaha is very close...

i have 2 honda eu2000, for a normal race i use one, if i need ac in the camper i use 2....

I have the Honda 6500 water cooled generator and it is very quiet! If I was on a budget, I would buy a loud one for 500-600 bucks and put the money in the trailer!! The Honda will last forever and is quiet but they are very proud of the at the dealer!! You are doing a great job on your trailer and most of us thank you for sharing it with us!! Many great ideas!!

i guess,

i thing us guys with the high dollare generators, are snobs...one of the reasons i bought my generator was because of the noise, i pit farenough from the track so i dont hear it too much..

sorry to hijack the thread...

Right now I'm right at $1600. Will be around $2000 when it's all said and done. I plan to do an itemized list of costs when I'm done.

I'll be starting my own "low budget" trailer build thread soon... just picked up a trailer off of Ebay. I'm not going to go for "blingdiggety" or "pimptastic" and certainly not the ultimate "blingdiggety pimptastic" just a useable pit trailer on a very low budget.

I'm also not starting with a "cargo trailer." I picked up a used fiberglass camping trailer, (16') with most of the interior already removed... $560 so far invested. I'm going to try REALLY hard to finish it out for $1000 total. (not counting the AC unit and compressor/generator.)

Plus 75-100 hours of labor, not to mention you seem to be a carpenter, plumber, engineer, and have a dad who's an electrician...I'm so fucked!
