Dude, it's just not a good idea to put water in anything near your fuel system. I don't care how much you try to "dry" it out, you will still end up with some moisture in there.
Do what you please, but water + fuel + engine = bad! After each race I remove the body/wing, wheels, radio box, motor, and fuel tank. I spray 50/50 water/simple green in and outside of tank, then spray rest of chassis down not getting it in receiver or servos. then simply rinse off with water and blow off with compressed air. hope this helps. |

the losi shocks where stock pistons with 25wt oil, very possible it could be a problem with the shocks, i ordered a shock rebuild kit and we will see if that helps, but find the AE shocks work well, i wont keep them on there i like to keep losi....losi;), but have a big race saturday and threw them on and was quite suprised how they reacted. hopefully the parts will show before then but pretty confident with these for now. shafts are fine, the onlt thing i might concider is wrong are the bladders are leaking.
I would also try some thicker fluid. 25wt is a bit thin in the truck from what I've found, especially in the summer months. I typically run 30, 32.5 or 35wt oil in the rear shocks on my truck. 32.5 is always a good starting place. The best overall shock package I've found for the rear of the truck is 32.5wt fluid, #56 pistons, Grey springs and vented EU caps w/ foam compensators. The vented cap + foam goes a long way to making the shocks more consistent. Once you learn the way they like to be built they are super consistent and very easy to build. Just be aware if your bladders leak with the vented caps, all of your oil will go bye bye. You have to keep a closer eye on them when running vented caps. That should take care of the issue.;) |

Bladders leaking is likely a large part of your issue. Bladders have a big impact on the way a shock functions. If they're leaking, you pretty much end up with an emulsion shock as opposed to a bladder compensated shock and that isn't ideal, especially if you're still building them like a bladder compensated shock.
