Default Exaust Gas Coolers. Yes or no.?.

Hi all.
I have just purchased an exaust gas cooler from a fellow RCT member it came with some pretty cool mounting gear and I am about to put it into my Truggy But Before I do I have a few quetions and would like to tap into the virtual gold mine of informtion that alot of you guys posess..

My questions are.

1. Can somone explain the science behind the idea of the gas cooler.?
2. Should I cut the length of the gas cooler off my pressure line.?
3. what are the Pros & Cons of running one of these things..

Any help on the subject would be much apreciated.
Thanks In advance.

It will.not hurt anything to use the fuel cooler, anything to bring the temperature down on your fuel is good, less.chance for detonation of your fuel when temps are hot, and they run better as well. You can cut the pressure line shorter for the cooler. I live in Phoenix AZ.where its hot as hell in the summer, anything to bring down the.fuel temps is a good thing. 108 farenheit today.

Guys, I just got the new brakes (the black ones) and was wondering if there is a trick to installing these. These seem to bind when I mount the center diff mount to the chassis. I never experienced this with the RTR brakes. Thanks

Make sure tha the cam that pushes against the pad is in the correct position and also which brake discs did you use. If they are the grey/black colored disc it is thicker and you need to back the screw that the pads ride on out a little bit. I want to say it was + .5mm but I'm not positive about the exact measurement that needs to be added to the space between the pads.

Thanks for the reply.
I Live in the subtropics were in summer its not unusal to get into 35-40c.
winter is nice being in the 20's most of the time with humidity usually around the 85-90% mark.
so I guess this exaust gas cooler will defenetly help more in the summer months...

Couple things. As Frank suggested, check to make sure the brake cams are properly installed. Also make sure the backs of the metal pads aren't notched out where the cams ride. If they are notched out, the cams will bind. Also make sure the discs are installed with the round lip facing away from the center diff. And finally set the gap between the heads of the brake plate screws and the center diff mount to 8mm. That should make for a nice free brake system.

Default Did my front diff move on me?

Hi. The other day when I was out on the track the left hand side drive shaft popped out of the diffs cup (outdrive?). I loosened the hub and put it back but it popped right off again after a few seconds on the track.

Did my diff move to the right side or the left wheel move to teh left?
Did my drive shaft shrink a bit

I have tried to take a few images...

What do I have to order online to fix this? Why did this happen?

Check your hinge pins, see if they are bent.

After you check all those thing, you might need to order new dog bones. LOSI did a running change to make them 2mm longer. You might have an old set.
