I dont think the problem would go away as I had the alloy saver arm and I sheared the top off my servo at practise as I had tightened the spring just a little so fixed the servo and backed off spring and was fine at racing sunday.
I had a couple of issues with the 1.0 to and bent an alloy servo horn and stripped a sacrificial gear in another servo and again had tightened the servo spring ..so a pattern with me...so best to keep the spring on the slack side

It did for me last weekend. I broke one on the second tank, replaced it with a plastic arm and 1.0 spring and it worked like it should. Big difference in the spring tension and wire diameter on the 2.0.

I think you will find if you had the spring backed off youre plastic one would have been fine.

I backed it off one full turn right out of the box.

i checked my buggy and truggy, both are right at the chassis, which is loose considering my 1.0 truggy and buggy had the servo saver nut about 1/4 in off the chassis

I guess doing what works for you is the key...either backing off the spring or replacing it with a lighter one...just make sure the servo saver action works freely and doesnt require to much pressure to get it to work and you will be heading in the right direction

Well I couldn't resist it anymore....lol.

Mine came with no package damage like some have experienced. Both zipties were cinched down tight and none were cut and all the shock ends look good. I might pick up a set just in case though.

being gone 1 week = Lots of reading.

i saw multiple 2.0's this past weekend at the Canadian Winter Nats and i must say i was pretty darn impressed with their handling on the jumps and bumps....my 1.0 is still doin it for me...but i was overall pretty impressed.

I just took the front end off my truggy to back down the servo saver nut some and found that it's all the way down from the factory. There is literally NO servo saver action with it set this way. I tried like crazy to get it to work by holding the servo saver arm and trying to turn a wheel and the saver never budged. I might take the saver apart and make sure everything is seated well and compress the spring with some pliers a few times to try to weaken it some. It looks almost fully compressed as is.

Check the spring cup on the lower piece of the servo saver. Some of them have been too small for the spring and won't allow it to fully seat. also you can back that off some. Mine is sitting a few turns down from flush with the bottom of the tube. Just as long as you loctight it and it isnt rubbing the chassis it should be fine.

Thumbs up

I took the whole saver assembly apart and made sure there were no burrs and everything was seating correctly and it was. But before I took it apart I started backing off the saver nut and at about 1.5-1.75 turns down from stock the saver started working like it's supposed to. I ended up marking where it was stock and set mine at about 2.75 turns down from there. The spring has good tension on it and the saver is working as smooth as butter...

I'm glad I read on here about people having issues with the savers. I think everyone that gets one should check to make sure it's working properly and if not back it down like I did until you feel comfortable with where you have it. The last thing anybody wants is a saver that won't save....

Yeah I think the main problem is comming from them being set too tight from factory. I put the aluminum top on mine and backed the nut down about 2 turns and it is perfect.

I was at the same race as Integra this past weekend and broke 5 steering bell cranks (tops and bottoms) all on the buggy but broke none the truck (I know of at least 8 others with the same issue at this race). I had done all the things noted here and on other forums - even put in gen. 1 spring which helped but still ended up breakin.
The spring is definately an issue but I think the plastic is also suspect. Never broke any part on the gen 1 stuff in a year and a half of racin.
