The absolute best way is to use a set up system. But I was taught here buy a local pro not to drop, just push down on the truck and let it rebound, then do the camber.....

Yes they wear out, and to be honest I never measured my shoes, I just replace them when I feel a lot of slipping or by look never had a problem doing it that way....

I run dyn Maxlife shoes - similar to losi LL, and gold and silver springs, really like that setup..

Yes the springs do wear out. Here ya go from the other thread.

Measure 23.4, any thing less is a worn out. Thanks, Nick for the pic.

I have found that as long as you are consistant in the manner that you check your ride height and camber, all is well. The problem with the drop
method, that I don't like, is that unless you have an exact measurement of
the drop, you will get inconsistant readings. I push the car/truck down evenly, in the center of the front and rear towers before my measurements.
Never failed me yet and very consistant as far as repeatability(if thats even
a word, lol). Plus, I like to see how the shocks are working, rebound-wise. If
you've ever been burned by a sticky shock shaft o-ring/seal you'd understand why.

Now, if I could only find an exact way to set front toe, without
a Hudy station, I'd be perfectly happy. I'm good with just eyeballing it for
now though.
