The new JC closed cell buggy foams work great for this application. 2 foams for 6.99 and you can get 36 foam discs enough to do your shocks 9 times.
I have been running the modded caps for well over a year, and have tried many many many different foams and orings , and these seem to be the best by far.
Hope this helps, if you have any more questions concerning the modded shock pm alan burton on the speed shop thread as he has done hundreds of sets of shocks.

I use JConcepts closed cell foam for a buggy. Needs to be 9mm tall x 12mm across, to cut the foam I use my dremel and take the sanding drum, slide the sanding part where it hangs off the rubber drum and it will cut the foam perfectly.

These trucks drive, handle and jump so good, pretty much with the stock set up, so I would say for the regular weekend warrior,(club racer/ local series guy) you would not tell a difference. The difference is noticed when you keep the truck on all four...Practice..practice....practice

Ok Losi owners, question time. I was able to drive a 2.0T the other weekend and was very impressed. I mean I have driven several trucks but this thing was dialed. It is all I could want from a truck. I know a lot of racers that run the losi truck and some of them are kind of newbs and some are very experienced but the one thing that they both have in common is problems with the ring and pinion gears? Is there really an issue or is it just lack of setting it right from the get go? Just curious as I could see myself owning one of these trucks.
