I run them on both of my cars and yes you can set the carb straight plus it is stiffer so no binding can happed between the cb and spur. They work well.

I ran them on my truggy and didn't like them. I thought they took away too much turn in, and the gain in turn out wasn't enough to justify running them. I do like them a lot in the buggy though. It is really a matter of driving style. I know some people who run them and love them on truggy.;)

It is a great upgrade! The carb does line up much better with it. Plus it stiffens everything up and makes braking more consistent.

I put a little dab on all screws that thread into metal. So, yes I would recommend a little loctight on the top screws.;)

broken cranks

I broke my 4th crank yesterday in my t2.0, anyone ever do this, any ideas why?? they break at the front of collet with everything intact, could my chassis flex this much, over tightening the nut? etc..

malcnz 04-11-2010 02:45 PM

when you say crank..you mean youre motor?
thats weird...is it the roller chassis?

malcnz 04-11-2010 02:48 PM

can you see any marks on the chassis where the bell has been touching?
what motors are they?
must be some huge jumps you have to land that hard?

What engines are you breaking ranks in???:weird: I have never heard of that many cranks breaking. One I can understand(sort of) but four???  I would think chassis flex in theory could be your problem. I'd hate to see the track that makes the chassis flex enough to break a crank though.

malcnz 04-11-2010 02:55 PM

yeah 4x..man that sounds expensive:cry:
I run the 1x peice mount which should help...but 4x thats just bizzarre:eek:

If chassis flex really is the culprit I HIGHLY recommend the KHZ extended engine mount. The aluminum center diff mount would help in that area too.

I really don't know though. 4 cranks???:weird:

Yesterday I broke two servo saver top arms. I have been running the stock plastic ones for over a year now with no problems. I have replaced the whole servo saver once just for the heck of it but never broke any until yesterday. I did'nt over tighten the nut, ( i dont think) Any ideas why I coulda snapped two in one day. I did recently change to the 7950 from the 7955, But I wouldnt think that little extra torque would do it either. Ordered the alluminum one last night

+1 on the extended KHZ mount. no engine probs here and I have been using it from the beginning.

Has anyone used this fioroni diff cup? It seems to not fit right or something. The gears spin free when its out but as soon as I put it in everything feels very notchy. I pulled it out and put the SD back in and it spun free after that.

I have had the extended khz motor mount and recently put the center diff mount on in march at psycho nitro and im not sure if the 1st 1 happened before or after installing the center mount. but recently 3 in past month 2 wknd in row. 1st one was old bf21, 2nd was a new limited bf21, 3rd last week my go5pt, this week a bf21. the tracks i run at have average jumps nothing crazy, i can see where the block had been rubbing the engine mount on the tiebar in front and close to the tank looked like the clutchbell had touched the chassis, maybe when it broke tho. i didnt think it could flex enough to touch the engine mount with the block, but i can hold it and bend the chassis quite a bit, looks like the engine mount bends with it.

Hello,

Yesterday we had are first race with the 2.0 and we broke two front bulkheads
behind the shocktower. Is this a weak point of this car.
