Picked up a few aluminum pieces(rear hubs, front spindles, servo arm) the other day at Airland. If any of you guys are in Socal everything in the store is 40% off! Anyway wont have to worry about steering servo (Hitec 7950) or a pipe (JP-2) The actually had one of the new Orion Alpha motors for $120 so i picked that up as well. Unfortunately i cant say how it runs yet as i broke the shaft tightening down the clutch nut!:flaming: I have paid my fair share in stupidity tax between this and racing MX. I emailed Orion and it looks like they are going to help this dumba$$ out! I dont know if it should have broke or not based on the force i as using but to say i was upset in an understatement. I have always liked Orion stuff but now they have a customer for life.
As far as the battery box goes there are hole on the corners that do not have body clips on the 2.0.

i say the 3 degress toe out might be to much i say 1,to 2 degress of toe out but i do run a buggy so maybe truggy is diffrent

tc5 man 11-24-2009 08:49 PM

in the front not the rear im just thinking it would wear the inside of the tire a lot

DG Designs 11-24-2009 09:05 PM

Whats the point of the very short rear camber link?

reggie l. 11-24-2009 09:13 PM

you may not like the droop that low..i know i didnt..

and i think on the kh v2 towers theres 6 holes if there are..you should be on the 4th hole..so 2 from the last position

TIX 11-24-2009 09:23 PM

I run 3degrees of toe out each side. i have been using it for months
i love the amount of steering i get from it

The King Headz V2 tower is a great addition, my first King Headz part I am very pleased with the craftsmanship. A+ I netted two wins this weekend at two different tracks. Sunday I won a 23lb turkey at Checkerboard Raceway's annual Turkey Race. Gobble, gobble, gobble:lol:

I believe you need to shorten the camber link so when you move to the inner hole on the hub, you can still get -2 Camber.

How much droop do you run?

I've been reading everyone talking about the new Losi rear tower with an extra outer hole. Do you mean, if running Casey's setup, don't go out further on the tower or??

Cheers

Truhe said he will run as much as 5 degrees toe out on the truck. Mine is set at about 3 per side.

When running the short camber links you HAVE to cut them down. If not you will lose any adjustability. You run them in the top hole on the tower and the inside hole on the hub.

Some will tell you that this setup is only for the new tower with the extra hole but I have been using it on the old tower and it makes the truck steer like the buggy. If you don't like your truck to rotate fast then I would say stick with Truhe's stock setup. Turning fast means spinning out fast as well.

That's what happened when I tried the shorter camber link. I used the front lnks because they are shorter and well it didn't mesh well with me so I wnt back it does make the rear move around alot. I like my truck to drive like a truck. I'm trying the v2 tower now gong to mess around with it.

I'm looking for more Off power & middle corner steering. Definitely don't wont anymore on power..... Guys at the club are getting used to me spinning out under power. Have to learn better throttle control!

BTW, TIX & MrBusta, Thanks for your help before I went away. I got the back end to behave better off jumps by going down to 30wt oil & set the shocks with minimum preload.

If your after some more off power steering try lifting your front camber links and moving them out on the spindal carrier. The BCE guys told me to try it and I haven't looked back since

Thanks Alan, I'll give that a try.
