I am not sure how a washer is going to help this problem. The diameter of the part that goes through the servo horn is not the same diameter as the part that goes through the brake actuator, unless mine is worn that bad.

I use a dremel to make the hole bigger on the servo horn. I then use a washer to make up the difference for the al horn being thinner. Not sure how to explain it but it looks stock.

I am on my second stock throttle/brake horn, but mine seem to get sloppy on the throttle side. The hole in the horn gets ovaled out after time and then you dont get instant throttle responce. I modded an extra linkage set-up I had to except a alluminum horn. Its seems pretty good. I will run it this weekend and see. I was curious too if anyone has done this. In past posts the info has been to stick with the stock one but, they just arent lasting very long.

i've seen some guys using the arm and linkage from the 808. i'm thinking about doing the same.

Yeah I would understand the washer for the thinner horn. I am talking about the diameter of the plastic post that goes through the horn. It's not the same diameter on the top and bottom. So you have to make the hole large enough to get the top through the horn, but then it's loose when pushed all the way into position because the bottom of the post is a small diameter. It's on the brake linkage and not the throttle linkage.

Hey guys, what are you doing with your front centre drive shafts when they wear? Do you fit a new pin or do you just put a new one in.

My car seems to have a serious appetite for these!!!! I am gonna have to fit my 3rd one after 2 months of having the 2nd one in there. The first one seemed to last at least twice as long, with loads more racing!!!! The rear still looks like new.

If you do replace just the pins, what pins do you use?

somethings is not right. i just replaced mine after about 3 gallons.

What could be wrong though, everything works smoothly, there is no binding. The one half of the pin in the dogbone wears completely flat. It still works, but not sure if it will hold or how long it will last in that state.

Like I say, the first one lasted a lot longer than the second one. I did many more races than with the second. I would say the first one lasted a good 2 or so gallons, but the second not even a gallon????

It's just the angle it wears the pin down. 3 gallons is pretty fast though. How does the drivetrain spin? Nice and free or no?

This video was from the SIC race we just had in Alabama, with 200 plus entries we had some great competition...

This is a losi 2.0T that would at the race end come from behind to win by 2/10ths of a second.

David Watson is the driver, truck/engine built by the speed shop

Sportsman Truggy video #1

Congrats to David and Losi for having such a great truck;)

Jose have you driven the mugen yet, I see its in your sig. Gonna get me a losi 2.0 buggy and then hope fully with a little coaching from alan I can run with the big dogs. You should try and make it to the snakepit for the fall brawl. Second weekend in november I believe. Wish I could find someone to sponsor my trip to texas so I could go.
Speaking of sponsors does Team Forced Induction need anymore drivers lol.
You had that electric truck moving pretty good. I would definately invest in a nice soldering station like a hakko or something if you are gonna run these elecs.
Can't make the xtreme my sister-in-law in getting married the 17th. I think there is a warmup race at the snakepit on th 23rd.

Yeah I need a soldering station and need to read up on soldering. David knew what he was doing when he was soldering.....I don't know poop about it. Guess that is why I have been fighting solders coming apart during races through the year. The truck ran good and had some of the fastest lap times, but couldn't keep it running...which in the end that is the key. Also those city blocks were probably not the tire to run, but that was all I had. Looks like the small pins were the way to go for the mains.
Right now Forced Inductions is gearing for sponsorship for the Oultaw 10.5 and EZ street racing for the 2010 season....lol. That will wipe out most of my RC funds....LOL.

Fun video to watch from this season....

As for the 6T, the conversion kit doesn't arrive till this weekend. I will let you know. I will be taking it to florence where I have lap times that I can compare to.
