I think Integra said if it's a new r+p, shim it tight, if it's a used r+p, and you're reshimming leave just a tick of play.

You have a good set of tools to work on that truck?

HUDY TOOLS

Otherwise I think you are goo to go.

clamber 09-22-2009 10:52 AM

Yeah I have hex wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.

Im going to be getting O'Donnel 20% R2R sport fuel. Is that a good fuel?

Also, will Proline Badlands monster truck tires work on this truggy?

Fierle03 09-22-2009 12:13 PM

I would go with Cold fusion if you can get your hands on it or sidewinder. And stay with 30%. Cold fusion makes a Majic bland that has 12% oil which is really good and i believe sidewinder has worlds blend or something like that with 12% oil as well. I have been running Cold fusion all year and have had nothing but good luck with it. leaves the inside of the motor clean and well lubed.

clamber 09-22-2009 12:17 PM

Ill order some of that for my 2nd bottle, but for the break-in and first runs the O'Donnel should be ok right?

are you racing? if so stay with racing tires, crime fighter, bow ties, calibers. etc

as far as hex wreches, makes sure they are good. Hudy tools are the only stuff i have seen not strip screws. Ive used craftsman, proline, integy, losi, and hudy

I wont be racing until Spring. So I want some tires I can bash with, but it doesnt look like anyone makes any tires with a lot of tread for 1/8th truggies.

your confusing your own advise
why give advise if you yourself dont even know which is right

Integra when you dont know something dont pretend that you do and then run over to the Drake sight and ask him and wait for a response and then come back here with a different answer. WHEN YOU DONT KNOW THEN DONT GIVE ADVICE. ASK someone who does know then pass on the advice.

Its apparent that you dont know but I have seen you over on the thread that Adam used to give answers and advice.Bottom line is this:
NO ADVICE IS BETTER THAN BAD ADVICE
This is the 2.0T thread not the 1.5T thread.
And on that note if anybody hasnt tried the Answer shock collars try them they are absolutely great I havent popped a spring since going over to them. I was affraid that they were going to be a little heavy and they arent they are a +1 in my books of hop-up parts.

Losi is in the process of making the pinion gear bigger to have more contact space. A little birdie told me this.
