I dont mean to sound rude but you are really out of place comenting on the 8T 2.0 build and setups when you dont even have one. the 8T 2.0 is a totally different animal when compared to the 8T. its driveline reacts much differently to the 8T and there is alot more pressure put on parts that never saw half the load they get now. Comments on where to put loctite, what oils to use and how to setup the truggy are totally out of place when you dont even have the truggy yourself. I read alot of forums and you always put your opinion forward like its the only opinion that matters which seems to get under some peoples skin. its made worse when you dont even have the car to comment on. I understand that you like to support the product but maybe you should keep your build and setup comments to yourself until you actually have one and fully understand the differences.  |

Few Q's....
I bought the losi 99061 starter box, and i've heard you have to rewire it? How? Why? Also, on my roller, the wheels have a lot of play with the camber, but it's not the camber links. Any thoughts? |
the slop can be between the axle and the bearings and also between the axle and the wheel hex
It's not really worth worrying about. But if it does bother you then you can shim it out by putting shims between the bearings and the hex. I did it once and it fixxed the slop but the car drove really twitchy. Give it a try though. Some people like it better that way. It's personal preferance |
How do i set the camber then?

i still have 2 sets here but the new losi ackorman doesnt wear at all. I love matrix parts. i wish he'd get off his lazy arse and answer an email so i could buy some more of his towers. his ackorman far outlasted the 8B 8T version. buts its useless on the 2.0 versions I dont mean to sound rude but you are really out of place comenting on the 8T 2.0 build and setups when you dont even have one. the 8T 2.0 is a totally different animal when compared to the 8T. its driveline reacts much differently to the 8T and there is alot more pressure put on parts that never saw half the load they get now. He has helped me with setups and the building of the two because I am not used to how Losi's are or how they worked completely different animal to the Mugen. He has also drove my truck at the track and has probably drove it more than I have since he did the setup and break in for me. So he has actually has driven a 8T 2.0 on and off the track in many occasions not just a tank or two more like a gallon or two with break in so you saying he has no information or wheel time with these vehicles is wrong... TIX seeing as you have so much time to post on these forums and call people over such a idiotic thing, could you please outline where this truck is so much different from the previous edition and to top it off with YOUR experience of these parts that get so much more load with all the new changes? |

Calaber, you and your mate are missing the biggest point.
People come here to gain knowledge. not to be lectured. I could DOES HAVE NOT CAN'T NEVER    and quote all day. but people dont want to read the BS. i'm not going to turn this into an arguement on an open forum. I've said what I and alot of others think about the way in which he talks down to those on this forum i wont dispute that integra knows his stuff. but the way in which he goes about it is at times rude and arrogant ragardless of whether he has driven your truggy for 3 weeks or 3 hours. he doesnt own one. a modded 8T isnt a 8T 2.0. its not the same width and it doesnt handle the same. Sorry if i have pissed you and your mates off. but im sick of seeing new guys coming on here and being told to do it his way so to answer your question the 8T 2.0 wears its driveline quicker than the 8T. its mainly due to the lower gearing putting more torque on the CV's its up to the paticular driver to decide what colour loctite to use. the 2.0 servo saver is much more effective than the old version but its been admitted by losi that the spring doesnt have enough action. its up to the individual to decide whether to change to the 8T or back off the spring. brake cam binding is a simple fix that just goes away on its own. you dont have to back off the screw or grind down the mount Clutch setups are each to his own. you dont have to run any exact setup. you just need the one that suits you and your motor Rear diff oils dont end at 3K. you can run as high or as low as you want. you just need the oil that suits you and your tracks conditions its no secret that the 2.0 goes through rear bearing quicker than the 8T. this is because the load point has been shifted by going to standard offset. this is fixxed by getting J-DUB or myself to mod the hubs to fit 16mm bearings or buy a set of the KH hubs. but once again its up to each individual to decide whether they think its a problem you see who it reads. its information without being told to do it my way once again. SORRY if you cant handle some backlash to your opinions |
