cool thanks, I guess I shouldn't have to worry about running heavier oils.;)

9lbs 11oz is Smack On.....pending on what tire combo you are running it might vary an oz or 2.

That heavy? I was at 9lbs 1oz at the Cabin Fever race... That's w/ body and a full tank of fuel. Not sure how well the scale was calibrated, but it was a nice scale, and was zeroed out before my truggy was weighed.

The Losi shoes have lasted really well and still have loads of life on them considering how many races I've done with them and the break in of the V-spec. I have no been recommended the above as they last even longer and still work really well.

Would like to hear your input.

As an aside, I tried my car with 60 front and 55 rear shock oils on recommendation, and it was really bad, had serious traction issues and in some cases the car would just dig in and roll. I'll be going back to 40 / 35 which worked really well for me.

go even lower, try 35/32.5 thats an awesome start

I had the standard box setup which was 35/30 I believe, but that was a little too soft. The car was running on the chassis most of the track. My chassis was wrecked after the first Nats round, about 3 hours of running!!

1.0. I threw away the package and now I think I got a buggy spring after my day at Thunder Alley. It seemed to open up prematurely. I killed two servos with the factory 2.0 spring. I'll try to just tighten this one up a bit and see how it is. My 2.0 buggy should be here in the mail today. Man I cant wait.:deathstar I'm going to find the mail man before he gets to my house. :batman: Ill be right back!

i ran it in buggy and my dad runs it in his truggy. its OK, not great. there really isnt any power with the grp. i have a vspec that has like 3/4 of a gallon on it and it has 3x the power that grp does.

SqueegUK 06-09-2009 12:15 AM

My GRP started running erratically, so I put it in a box and left it. Hasn't been used since. It was great when it was running, nice and strong through the rev range. I am now running a V-spec, which is a great engine, but I still love my RB WS7 III. It's my spare now, but after around 7 gallons it will still hold itself up for about 12 to 13 seconds.

I could do 10 minutes with the GRP as I can with the V-spec easily. The biggest issue you will find with the GRP now is going to be the lack of spares.......:flaming:

when i had a grp in my buggy i wasnt impressed. i used a 053 pipe mainly. i liked the high end. but it had NO power on low end. i tried different pipes but nothing really fit. i was never impressed with the engine. i was only gettin maybe 8 1/2 min with it. then my front bearing started leaking and went down hill from there. my dad has the grp promo kit and he put it in his truggy. and he only gets maybe 8 min. ive tuned it, hes has grp sponsored drivers tune it. i get it almost perfect to where the grp drivers tune it to. his temps wont get below 220. its been like that from day one. he has like 2 1/2 gallons on it. he has a vspec that was his first motor and it has like 8 gallons thru it and it has more power and run time then that grp. the only good thing is the grp has great top end but no matter what you do no combo will put the top end power and transfer it to the bottom. this is just my experience tho.

mattwoodcraft 06-09-2009 02:23 AM

i used to have the same problem with bottem end but now the motor is insane i had it in my buggy but its now in my truggy hoipefully it be okey , i had my grp moded heap heaps better ....
saying that it wil probably die now
