Arm Guards

I cut up some lexan arm guards today and well they didn't last long. Is anyone using any rear arm guards that work? Or are there any available from Losi or another aftermarket mfg.

Will I get any more low end power out of changing my clutch from the box settings to 2 alum/2 plastic?

That will make it smoother. If you want more torque change to a long header (this is the one I use) a 053 pipe alum shoes and silver springs. But be warned the silver springs will eat up the clutch shoes very quickly 7 tanks and you will need to check your shoes. 2 gold 2 silver make the clutch last a little bit longer and 4 gold even longer but you loose a little bit of torque.

What engine and pipe/ header are you running?

You don't want to fool with Locktite like Integra said. The screws plain aren't long enough. Put in longer screws that will engage the nylon part of the lock nut. Don't find out the hard way like I did.:(

Me too, jacked mine all up to get it through the day, had to order new balls screws rod ends and now I have dremel marks on my towers...got a little angry.:flaming:

I just switched to a Ninja JX21 with a Dynamite 053, I was running a RB WS7III with 198/2045, the clutch seemed very mild in the RB, not much low end. The ninja feels better even though it is new, but coming from running a kyosho st-rr with alum shoes and 1.1 springs, this truggy isn't accellerating as fast as I would like.

Hey guys where can you get the washers for the motor mount bolts. The bolts that come through from the underside of the chassis.

ran truck today for first time today @ Dirtburners.......DIALED!!! It felt awesome everywhere box stock.......this thing has mad on and off power steering and jumps great, handled the rough sections great, stayed planted!! I just felt like I could drive it harder/faster, and I did just that......this truck ROCKS!!! :tire:  :tire:

Put a long header on that pipe doesn't matter which brand use alum shoes with either 2 silver and 2 gold or all silver for more snap that should take care of it. The only other thing you can do is to use a larger restrictor in the carb like 8. An 8 restrictor gave me tons of power in the GRP .21 but terrible mileage. out of gas at 8:30. 7 is the best balance

Smart Diff

Curious to know how the Smart Diffs are working on loose/rough loamy dirt surfaces - or do the preform best on hard, smooth clay style tracks?

Our track is hard-packed with some loose dirt on top, and a bit rough (though it was pretty nice today). I ran the center smart diff w/ 2 .15 springs today after reading the Drake's recommendation in another thread (removed 2 from stock). ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! I TQ'ed, but lost the set screw that holds the front center driveshaft on the pinion about 30 feet into the A-main. :( Of course, I checked all of the screws before the main EXCEPT that one! Oh well, live and learn! :D

Couple pics of the track surface (and a friend's 2.0 truggy to keep it relevant to this thread):
