I was reading all the posts about the bearings going bad so I opened my bearing and found that the outer rear hub bearings were dry. The rest were fine.

:flaming: lol i didn't, it was just the thread scuffing into the shoe, i pulled the shoe, and the anodizing was scratched. then i ran the screw in without the shoe, and saw the thread's go all the way through the plate, i took a piece of alum stock, and milled a jig to place the shoe in, then counter sunk the whole the way it should of been, like on the KH shoe, really to much work for some stock shoes, but that's all i have at this time.

Mr. Twister...i cant say ive seen this issue before....i kinda get what your saying....but i personally have never noticed it....ill check it out for sure tho....as a hung up shoe will really hurt the performance of the clutch. :nod:

Just mounting up the clutch and flywheel on my Nova p5xs and read Mr Twisters post. Great catch there.

Mine hung up exactly like you said. I just took a small drill bit and countersunk the front side holes of the shoes by hand - without a drill motor - and it freed things up. They now spring back like they should. The threads on the pins are just too long and dig into the shoes. Wake up Losi. Another easy fix but I don't expect this BS with a expensive roller.

You really haven't had any problems with the clutch show screws loosening without loctite??

No i never had one come loose. I used to use loctite on the screws and i would strip the screw out and i hate getting my dremil out.

First 2 years I ran for Losi I always used a small drop of blue locktite on the screws. Then Adam told me it wasn't needed and haven't used locktite since. Guess the pressure from the spring is enough to keep the screw from backing out....:nod:

Well everything is all good, got my new 13 tooth bell replaced with a new one, the bell i had was impossible to install the rear bearing into, but that got fixed, 300 degrees works every time lol, no but i did install a new one.

we have our first outdoor race here at my home, test track. I will start off with all kit setting and run all the different tire combination's before making any changes, all that may need adjusting is wheelbase and a tic thicker in the rear shock's, our local guy did up a wrap for me i will get pic's taken before she goes to battle, thanks for all the help guy's, seeya

Hello everyone i am about to get 8ight t 2.0 would the $150 novarossi 21 motor work or rb concepts s3 work well ? i will be on the track only not going to race right away but lots of practice. just geting back in the game i need to get everything.

Don't know if either of them would have the muscle to move the truggy aroung very well. A Losi/Dynamite 427 is a great motor for a cheap price and it'll move around the truggy pretty good. It'll get you by until you get a nasty powerplant.

Thats funny about you rear bearing on the clutch bell because when I was building mine this week I took the new 2.0 clutch bell and tried to install the rear bearing that came in the kit and it would not go. I tried for a bit and then just took a new Avid rear bearing from my box and it fit right in.So the 5x13 avid worked and the 5x13 losi didnt I wonder what the deal is with this:confused:

I used BFH to get my bearing in the clutch bell and it has a gallon on it and still feels good.

The N.21BF limited will haul the mail all day in this truck....I've seen it run with them, and its no joke, I ran the Hotmods version in a Rc8T and its great, plenty of power and its very controllable, which is perfect for me as I am n00b to nitro racing......this Monday it will be sitting in a Losi truck.......:ha:
