The S3 is great for small to medium tracks and have plenty of power .

i have a s3 in my buggy and love it but i dont know if it is enough power for a truggy

Racing, bashing or both?

If you are just starting out in RC or in nitro RC, I would think the less expensive a little less powerful would be the way to go. Learn how to tune and if you mess something up it is a little cheaper.

If you are racing, less power makes you learn how to be a smoother driver. You have to carry more speed in turns and over jumps. Once you master that, go to a real good .21. It will have plenty of power and excellent run time between pit stops, especially compared to a .28.

a JPX 21 would be an awesome choice for you...it performs better then even the most expensive offroad motors and it costs just over $200.00 ......

rb outta those 2 but I'd suggest that jpx.21 it's around the same price and it's an animal

I say Go and I will tell you why, the RB is a very nice engine, but you are comparing one brands sport engine to another brands race engine. The Go features the same components as their pure bread race engines. Usually when an italian engine brings out a sport engine they are skimping some where besides just the piston and sleeve.

Do some more research. there were a few guys at my track that tried the go engines, and they were all unhappy with the quality, and longevity of the engines. they are fast as hell and make a ton of power, but why sacrifice when you dont need to

The Go 801 pipe is the best for the 3 port but its pretty fragile, If you are looking for something good and tough I would say the dynamite hardcoated 053 for a truggy application.

If longevity was an issue, it sounds to me like they were not broken in correctly. They are probably the tightest engines I have seen brand new, and because of this will wear the rod and cause undue to stress if not broken in properly. Guys around here are very bitter when my $189 motor kicks their $400 motor's ass. This is runing all stock components, non modded, and with the 0801 pipe. The popularity of them has grown around here, and once people have figured out the break in procedure (keep it hot) there hasn't been any failures.
