Must say this layout works very well on european open style tracks.
Been running my modified Caster with this geometry and it is nice and planted and no hassle with jumps.
Feels very positive if you drive it hard and carries good speed through corners.

I would love to try this shock setup and see how it works. Nice carbon fiber towers too that are available.

looks like they went for the euro market. that layout cant be friendly to US style 'jumpfest' tracks.

again, not a new idea. didnt do too well last time in fact.

hopefully for the rave it goes better

What's the story behind Ishima? Is this a clone of another or a completely new design? Forgive my ignorance, I've just heard some second hand info on Ishima, but do not know much about them myself.

The Ishima car was designed by Claude Lachat, a well known model car designer, who also designed the GS CL-1 buggy. As far as I know the Ishima is very much the same as the Piktor buggy, that was designed by CL before. It seems, CL left Piktor and took his design with him and to Ishima.

Chris only 4 items needed for this conversion.
Front and rear shock towers, rear wing stay and pivot blocks for the bottom of the shocks.
The rest is as per our Caster ZX-1R

I saw a guy at 1 of my local tracks 1 day with 1 and he did well. He TQed 1 of the quals and he told me it was designed for Europe but thicker center diff oil and shock oils than suggested in the manual is all you need. He was launching that car off the triples and it didntget out of shape when I thought it would. If they get popular over here I may even try 1. I would like to see bigger bore shocks with dust boots though and whats up with those tires in the kit LOL.

The laydown shock design worked well on the Schumacher cat electric 4wd so it should be ok.

The company that is doing the car in Europe also owns Medial Pro, the tyre company. So the cars come with them in the kit.

Claude Lachat added his touches/revisions from the Piktor Rush to the Protech Yada ( Casterracing ZX-1R).
The car or parts for it is made in the same factory as Caster/Protech/Hobbytech

The Ishima has been doing well at races in Europe with Bart Loomans taking a few wins and a fellow team driver.
