Well I had my first (semi) real race on the x2 this weekend and I absolutely love it! My engine was still being broke in so it was super rich, but the handling was everything I had hoped for! LOVE IT!

There is no doubt the new car is awesome. I love mine. Don't plan on ever running anything but Jammin for any class they have a car for, and some they don't. I am building a Jammin SC8. It should be done soon. I will post some pics later.

I've eliminated the problem of the tie rod hitting the inside of the rims on the X2 now ... fitted the PBS conversion kit.. no dramas now!

Let us know how the PBS changes the handling.

Jack, the term I believe you're looking for is "machined" - not "forged". Forging is something done with a steel alloy. But I think you'd be just fine with the jammin towers - both carbon or alum. They are both ultra tough. I don't know about the x1, but the new ones are solid.

I think you are correct on that, I will be trying the new one's very shortly. I do know that the carbon fiber one lasted about 5 race weekends, the original Jammin one's that came with the X1 would be bent within 2 race weekends, and the King Headz one went over a year with no deformation. I finally managed to very slightly bend the King Headz one after a full throttle crash at the end of a 200 ft straight away. If the Jammin one's can stand up to the punishment like the KH one's I will be a happy camper. I love my Jammins, don't ever plan on runing anything else.

Has anyone used an aftermarket or ? brand rubber dust boot, to cover universal or aluminum drive shaft/cap joint points, where you can lube and keep protected from dirt, etc? I'm Considering this to minimize wear on the new aluminum drive shafts. Any recomendations are greatly appreciated.

Use shrink wrap tubing, but dont shrink it all the way, just enought to hold it in place

I use these,http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/7214 My BCE chassised car uses CVD's. I wouldn't worry about Uni's, but if you are, those should work.

How did this work out for you? Most people I've talked to thought the stock front carriers were a little weak, I think they switch to Mugen ones for more reliability. Keep us informed of you experience.

Have fun,

Hey dude - yeah I will do. To be honest, I've installed the PBS but haven't had a race in 3 weeks..our next club day is this Sunday coming up.
There's a few guys running MBX5s, so I might see if they can bring some carriers, just in case!

Where did they (Jammin drivers) say the Jammin carriers were breaking? where the tie rod attached?

Some pics showing CNC towers, lightened uni's and PBS conversion.
Also running custom World's shell for the X1X, modded to suit the X2. It's 1.1 mm thick...so much better!

See how close the rear uni is to the back right side of the crank case...not good..

Hi fellas! I'm new to the forum. I just received my X2 conversion kit yesterday. I can't wait to finish the build, just started today.

Thanks for the tips on the CVD boots. Looking forward to getting home and finishing the build on the X2 and getting it on the track. Looks like I'll be triming the case on an OS Engine also, for center drive shaft clearance.
