Thought i would post a few pics of my new paint job by Rocket Graphics and show you the ofna hyper 8.5 universal. It does require an extra couple shims seems to be a bit more slop than when using the k car universals

Looking for more on power steering. Running Cody's CRCRC setup. Besides a heavier front diff (maybe 7k?) what suggestions do you have?

I run 7,4,4,,,,,,,, 7 gives you better on power and is complimented by 4 in the center wich improves you off power steering and delivers more power to the front when on power and last but not least 4 in the rear locks the rear on power and frees it up on corner entry. Just what works for me

Hope this helps,

Scott

7F 12C 5R I know this may be an unorthodox diff set up for some but I've ran it pretty much on all my cars and on various track conditions from hard packed blue groove high traction to loose/dusty low traction and it has become my universal diff setup. On/off power feels awesome with this set up, rear stays super planted coming out of a corner, and it just makes the car feel more progressive to throttle/steering input and overall more responsive but not twitchy IMO. I've tried the renowned 5-5-3 setup and it worked fine but just didn't give me the feel I was looking for. Just wanted to share that with fellow MP9'ers, don't be afraid to try it guys, you may like it.

I ran heavy diffs all the time in the Mugen but the center diff on the MP9 is almost 2 times the volume of the mugen. 5 in the Kyosho feels like 7 in the mugen.

Yea I agree that the MP9 center diff does hold more volume than other cars but I have never really felt a difference as far as the consistency or maybe didn't care enough to notice lol. Another plus with heavier diff oils is as the oil breaks down over time the ratio remains the same giving the car a similar feel during long mains. For instance, 7-12-5, depending on frequency of practice/racing will break down to let's say, 5-10-3 over a 6week period without ever changing diff fluids. 5-5-3 in the same situation would probably break down to about 3-3-1. These numbers are not exact are scientific by any means, but theoretically I hope you all understand what I am getting at. With my 7-12-5 setup I don't service my diffs as often as I would with 5-5-3.

How you liking the Buku clutch? Thinking about trying one out for my .19

Funny you ask ,,,,, this clutch is freakin amazing !!!! It puts the power to the ground better than any system i have ever ran. Plus the shoes lasted me over 4 gallons and some are reporting that they are getting 6 to 8 gallons. In the 4+ gallons i only went thru 2 sets of bearings. Without saying,,,,,,the adjust your spring tention in 10 seconds,,,,,,,, SWEET.

I guess you could say I like it You will be seeing alot more of these everywhere as soon as people catch on.

Hello shinnbad12 and everyone,

Would this case of "Wanted more on-power steering" would be solve by placing Front Kyosho original LSD?

Thanks..

Just replaced all the out drives on both my Mp9's. Before I order back-ups, any other solutions I can replace them with. I am not real good about mocking stuff up to make it fit, I would rather get the part and replace it, thanks.
