I just noticed that my rear drive shaft is bent. What would of caused this to bend? Obviously chassis flex. I'm wondering if anyone else has bent the rear drive shaft? I mean I crashed a few times but I didn't think I crashed that hard. This kinda bothers me. If the chassis flex this much causing the rear drive shaft to bend were gonna have a problem.

This happened to me once; I forgot to put the screws back in for the rear brace after cleaning it. Handled AWESOME on our bombed out track though! I just made sure the screws were secured in the brace, hammered the shaft back and all was good for another 6 gallons on that chassis.

Well I wish that was the case for me.. It appears it just flexed that much bending it.

If your talking about the centre shaft it may have bent due to not enough material removed from the engine. Refer to the book about this, it has a pic of what to do.

yeah maybe your're right. I did remove some material but its still a tight fit. I mean it didn't rub but with some decent flex it would've touched. I just don't see how it could of bent the shaft without showing obvious signs of a bent chassis.

my speed has a good gap for the shaft wout grinding any material away but you can still see small rub marks from chassis flex. I bent a rear centre shaft on the truggy wout any permanent chassis bending..of course it has a much longer gap than the buggy but it can happen and maybe it was just bad luck the way you landed or another bad batch of soft metal

i dont see how chassis flex can bend a center shaft.. i can see if it hit the motor.. however.. just chassis flex.. i cant see it happening..

It could theoretically flex far enough to bottom out in the drive cup...I think this is a stretch though....

i agree with that.. but the OP said he has wrecked but nothing to major.. but to flex that much would be a stretch.. you would also see the body broken in the rear mount.. i would think

Well I didn't think it was to bad of a crash.. However, it did ruin my body on the rear post. Cracked it because I didn't elongate the hole. I just hope I didn't tweak anything. I looked for straightness and it seems ok so we'll just rock it.

I'm sure they're always working on something; would be silly not to. Can't seen anything coming out before October ish. That being said; what could they possibly improve? Handling wise this car is second to no one.

I suppose they could address some maintenance issues like using a split center diff mount for faster maintenance on the center diff.
