I got my Sx8 E Evo yesterday and started the build.
I worked on the car a couple hours last night and a coupe hours today, the build is done!
The buggy went together very well, it was a nice build.
The shocks are very smooth and the car has some really neat features to it.
I can't wait to hit the track with it this weekend.
Just need to finish wiring up the Rx8/1900 combo, set up the radio and it's ready to go.

I also received a couple of the early release kits on monday factory direct and built the whole car in a day including all electronics, engine etc. The build went fairly smooth. There were a couple areas that were not quite perfect and required a little hand massage to get them to fit. The diffs themselves are not as smooth as the Xrays I am use to but they feel ok. I'm sure once the car has a few runs on it, the mesh will break in and feel good. Overall the car looks like it has some very nice features, the shocks feel ultra smooth, the braking system is nice and overall fit and finish is pretty good. The geometry of the car is interesting and should make for a sure contender. It has some familiar areas to the car as the front arms, hubs and steering blocks are very xray like and the radio tray and mounting looks losi like so it should have it own unique trackside personality. I am excited to run it this weekend at the Canadian Indoor Shootout and one of my local sponsored guys will be piloting it so I will have him leave some feedback after this weekends run. I am pretty unfamiliar with the plastics this car uses so I hope that it will be a strong car that can take a beating. I come from mugen and xray so I am spoiled when it comes to durability and I hope this car performs similarly.

I attended the East vs West race at the Proving Grounds in Jenison, Mi. yesterday.
It was the first time hitting the track with my new Tq Sx8 Evo electric 1/8.
The track Is hard packed, very technical and traction varies drastically from visit to vist.
The layout has been in for a few weeks and has had many laps ran on it by the locals.
The track had been sprayed with pop and had a solid groove to it.
Traction was medium with a lot of tire wear.
I started the day out with the box setup except the following,
Rear option 2.6 sway bar
option 1.4mm 6 hole pistons and 45wt ae oil.
The car was good but rolled over a bit to easily on a certain area on the track.
I made changes each round and the car responded very well to each change.
I was off pace through the first 2 rounds of qualifying by the 3rd round the car was really good but I ran a harder set of tires to save my softer tires for the main.
The 3rd round I put in a solid run, 4th overall for the round and 9th for the day.
In the main I was able to move up very quickly, I was able to challenge early but faded late in the run due to tire wear.
I finished 5th out of a field of 24 cars and the entire event was dominated by locals. They won all but the stock buggy and truck class.
The car was good to start but by the main it was phenomenal!
The buggy had excellent turn in and rotation, it was very nimble and responsive yet stable.
There was a true whoops section (think motocross), I could gain so much ground on other cars through there that I had to be careful not to run them over.
The Sx8 Evo electric buggy is a very good car and will be one to contend with.
I will post my setup in a separate post since this one was long, lol.

Here is my setup from the East vs West race for my Tq Sx8 evo electric.
Front
Stock 1.3mm piston with ae 40wt and medium spring.
In on arm and 2nd hole from inside.
Camber link in middle hole on tower.
Option 2.3mm sway bar
5,000 in the diff
Stock Ackerman position
Ride height- 1 turn below bones level.
Center diff with 5,000
Rear
1.4mm option pistons with ae 50wt oil and medium springs.
In on arm and 2nd hole from inside.
Camber link out on hub, inside and middle on tower.
Option 2.6 mm sway bar
2,000 in the rear diff
Hubs centered
Wing up
Ride height- 1/2 turn below bones level.
Batteries laid down instead of on their sides.
Tekin Rx8 w/1900 motor
Panther C Switch 2.0's w/red Aka inserts.
The car has a very nimble and balanced feel with great steering in and out of the corners.
I'm very excited to get this buggy outside on a big track where I'm sure it's potential will shine.
Let me know if I forgot anything.

Dustin,
I will post a picture this afternoon for you.
The batteries will lay down no problem but they sit over the 2 back screws for the dirt guards.
I placed a small piece of a closed cell insert between the batteries and those screws to pad the batteries.
The back of the body had to be trimmed a little but nothing major.

I raced my Nitro buggy for the first time last weekend and the car was very good. I TQed but had engine problems in the main.
I have a few other things I am looking forward to try for set up"s. Very balanced car....it jumps well and has alot of snap out of the corners.
E buggy is the big class in my area and I look forward to seeing some of the TQ buggies at our tracks.

Ran the RC pro US series in Kc this past weekend. Rain Friday so there was no practice. Qualifed 6th and after a 45min main ended up 4th not too far behind 3rd. Just too many bobbles and mistakes on my part. The track was grooved and bumpy because of the rain. This car was extremely great in these conditions, didn't flip over, handled the bumps great, the car was way faster than I was driving it.
