It kinda reminds me of the SH Z-Car




I like some of the hyper 9s features, but other not so much...

Besides the rear brake being out back........that thing looks NOTHING like the hyper.

I heard that they liked the car on the 14mm shocks better. The shocks in the pic are from the 8.5 but I heard the shocks may be threaded when they come out on the 9. So different shocks are possible for production.

This post is bringin out all the arm chair designers .....regarding the shocks and pipe being close to the tank-did anyone else read that this is a ROUGH prototype?

Very rough prototype actually. That's just the nature of the parts produced in RGE/stereolithography.

Being an armchair designer is fun, plus, it gives us things to discuss and ponder; the thread would likely be quite dull otherwise.

I think it's great that Ofna & HoBao decided to be so daring with the new car design; as much as the 8ight pushed the edge of the envelope a little, so now does Hobao push it a little bit further.

So, does this car come with the hack saw I need to angle the head of my V-Spec?

No, it is a marketing ploy, you HAVE to use their engine!

Either that or they got paid by Dremel for encouraging people to buy...

Actually the angled motor isn't a NEW idea... I talked to my bud about doing that a year ago... and it's been in trucks for a long time.

I like the brake "out back..." but why isn't the front one like that too? And I hope it is UNDER the CVD to lower center of gravity...

Talked to Tim Bump about the hack saw for the engine head, and he said he'll talk to Hobao about making a part no. for the Hobao hack saw to be included in the kit
