Hyper 9 in the new CarAction
#18
I really like this car when i first saw it when we had it here in our office under the hood it has some interesting things that make you say wow that's a good idea, and yes it is narrower than the Losi because the way the engine is set, the engine in the pic is a Picco EVO 2 .21 so it will fit other engines all this tooling around the car is being put together by Tim Bump and Mr. Kortz ture racers that know what it needs to be race driver buggy so you won't be dissaponited, talk back to you guys on Monday

I'm not entirely convinced that big bore shocks offer a noticeable performance advantage over regular sized units. Some folks have been tinkering with adding JAMMIN' big bores to their RC8s, and most if not all have only noticed SLOWER lap times as a result.
Either way, this Hyper 9 looks very interesting indeed: the center diff really is in the center of the car, so no more premature wear from angled drives (Losi). While this is still a rough prototype, I do feel that the pipe looks like it's literally touching the fuel tank; probably not so great, but an easy fix.
With the incorporation of some quick-release bonnet pins for the fuel tank and EZ access center diff bulkheads, we could have a winner on our hands.

Maybe one of these days the Europeans will race on Moto-Cross style tracks like here in the U.S..

The ad copy says these are 14mm bore shocks. That's 1mm smaller than the Losi's.
