It only seems appropriate at this time. Alan, just drop it all and race an Xray buggy, or something that doesn't require any commitment. Get back to racing for yourself, It's tough trying to push a product that even the makers don't support properly.
that is awesome my friend ..and your right race some for yourself ..its much more rewarding

I'm glad to hear it also. i know a couple guys who have a DT-19 and I would like to see them be able to acquire parts for there car. I was wondering if parts availability would suffer, but as Alan posted, it sounds like they will be able to have a good parts support system. I was just really affraid to see guys I know and like to race with get shafted with a car and no parts. Basically a shelf Queen!

Don't all Asians carry around calculators and anime porn in a hello kitty back pack?.

can somebody put an end to this madness?? this is the most ridiculous thing that i have ever read. it goes from one person to the other stabbing back and forth.

i used to run the ocm car and no longer choose to do so.. there are issues with the car without a doubt. i would say for the most part they have been resolved from what i can see. there are issues with every new company and car in my opinion.. it just all depends on how many people find out or experience the issues for themselves

I seem to always hear of "issues" with Losi 8ight and eating servos and also the RC8 being fragile and needing hop ups right off of the bat, Hyper ST-Pro brake issues, ST-RR Cast knuckle issues etc..... So they are all new companies too right? C'mon now give me a break.

Well i can tell u all that i'll be a OCM user come friday when i pick up my buggy and i cant wait!!!

i know theres been issues in a couple of areas but they are a "young" company in the scheme of things and are trying pretty hard to get a decent product out into the market.

i bet Tamiya or Kyosho didn't hit a home run on their 1st attempts 30 odd years ago,nor the other big players more recently!

Guys, Ive been with OCM since 2006 when they first got shippment here in Australia.....Sure they had some tweeking ( diff probs) They are now sorted. The service here in Syd Australia is second to none.....Ive had Hyper,Hongnor ,Xray Not saying they are bad but IMO OCM is the car for me.I just sold one of my old EVO's ready for New one in a week or so and didnt have a car for my Local club meet so the guys (Kev & Theo) gave me a few scraps (Old chasis ,Old shocks(white springs) Old towers) and I put together for the meet and It was on fire the whole day...The car was dialled.I was up against Australian Champ Wayne Walker(Mugen)Plus several great drivers (808,s,Assosiated,Hyper & Losi's) Wayne beat me so i came second in the end but.....MAN!!! the old car"s still Good and a bloody strong car. If i were you guys Id stick with it through this tuff time Im sure this will pan out well.

PLEASE, please do not post information that is not accurate. It would behoove you in the future to check your sources to make sure any statements you make, such as the above, are actually accurate.

Now if OCM is telling you that we stopped carrying their product due to MAP violations, then they are flat out lying to you. If OCM Racing has a MAP pricing policy, I would love to see it. Better yet, ask them to send you a copy so you can read it for yourself. You won't get one, as there has never been one.

Now, the decision to stop carrying OCM Racing products at A Main Hobbies was entirely our decision. Most of this came about after OCM Racing asked us to raise the price on the kits to $449.99, as they felt the kits were not selling because customers felt they were too "Cheap". If the price was higher, they theorized, customers would think the car must be better quality, so sales would go up (hmm, sounds a bit like Team Magic to me).

So we complied, and at the time I wrote them a very, VERY long email explaining why I felt this was a mistake. At the end of the day, we sold ZERO kits at the new price point, so we simply decided to can the entire product line (sales we absolutely dismal anyway).

Anyway, if anyone is interested, I can post the long email response that I sent to OCM Racing after they requested that we raise the prices. I never did get any response from them directly, but I am sure it would make interesting reading if people want to see it.
