Did this happen when the car was running or when trying to get the flywheel off? I saw it happen to a guy when taking the flywheel off.
Looks like a Werks.

yeah i have snapped a connecting rod on my duratrax maximum st pro basher that i sold on ebay a couple weeks ago. it had a torq 16 and i had had it full throttle and it snapped and didnt really do any thing to my block or crank but the rod sleeve and piston were DONE!!! it was bad then i just took a torq 12 piston and sleeve and dropped it right in and it worked great.

Just thought I'd bump this up to the top. Still waiting on it to arrive at the company so they can let me know if they will take care of it or make up a lame excuse. Only time will tell I've dealt with great companies and not so great for customer service. I can only hope these guys are good and I can get it back in time for the ROAR regionals and our local night cash race.

Just got off the phone with werks a little bit ago and they replaced the crank and went over the entire engine. and got it back in the mail 3 business days after they received it. They said it has happened a few times before but is not a frequent problem and took care of it no questions asked.

Thanks Werks.

No it was an italian mill... Werks b7pro to be exact and they took good care of me I should have my motor back by the middle of next week. Nothing wrong with a company that makes a mistake admits it and takes good care of it. I just hope they at least threw me some stickers or something

I will probably end up getting a B3pro now as well as soon as my current 3 port backup gives up the ghost.

what i have found on the werks motors is that they are so tight of a pinch that i think there is to much stress on the crank and rod. i have almost 2 gallons on a b3 and there is still metal on metal pinch.i have replaced the con rod just to be safe. i might replace the crank now. i really like the motor just wish it wouldnt take so long to free up.
