and menace if you want you can send me all the upgrades and I know for sure it will get international exposure if I win.

I have always wanted to see this buggy perform well. I was very disappointed with the initial reports of the mark1.

However, TM and their distributors seem hell bent on making this buggy and their customer's experiences with it the best they can be. Kudos!

Companies and people fail. Fact of life. What seperates good companies and people from the bad ones is how they react to their failures. Do they take 'ownership' of them? Do they learn from them? Do they adopt a 'never again' attitude going forward?

I think that TM and their affiliates are taking ownership of their past failures and coming out stronger because of it. I wish them well, and I think we're seeing the birth of a new 'contender' in the 1/8th scale buggy ranks.

I'd really like to see how this buggy stacks up to a well setup/driven Hyper 8.5. IMHO, the Hyper 8.5 is superior to the Losi in most catagories. It's not heavily promoted stateside, though - unfortunately!

If it handles near as well as a Hyper 8.5, then it truly has a lot going for it when you consider the maintenance features...

I'm looking forward to seeing one of the turbos at my local track!

Nice video, guys! Thanks for posting it. That tight technical little turn with the 'moguls' in it is killer! Looks like a great track for testing purposes.

What motor and pipe combo were used during this test?

How much are the Turbos in US $?

My only concern or comment is that for those of us that bought and still own the orignial, is we have to buy the turbo if we want the new stuff.

TM correct me if I am wrong on this matter....

If thats the case, I have to spend another 650ish USD to have a competitive buggy after spending that to begin with on the original?

OCM has a different approach. They are coming out with the EVO version of their DT-19. Rather than have loyal owners have to buy a whole new kit, they are offering the EVO kit (upgraded parts) at a fraction of the cost (I've heard 40-60 USD range). It includes new shock towers and shocks. And like TM they too had a "customer care" kit they sent out when problems were reported. This included arms, gears, and the like. So it is possible and OCM isn't nearly as big as TM....

I think this is the model that TM should use....

Input.........

Thankyou for that post rabidsquirrel !
We are all working hard to do just that.......get this buggy working well so as people can enjoy it weather racing or bashing.

Vince did put the car through a rigorous test at the track in Arizona and it came through with flying colours!

The car was given an IDM Evo 2 power plant, not sure on the pipe although I believe it too was the IDM pipe.

Drivers and dealers alike all over the U.S are now awaiting the arrival of their M1B Turbo. With over $300 of K Factory upgrades on the car straight out of the box, and a lower price tag too............. pricing set at $599 !!!

I also believe this is the start of the 'New Contender' to the buggy world!!

yes. Because the design of the buggy has not changed, I also think that a 'kit' which includes all the 'new' or 'added' parts would be a great idea!

Watch this space!! As I have said before, TM above most, listen to the drivers and buyers of their cars. ;)

All the differences between the cars in parts are available now. Although we are still awaiting the new bevel gearing to come through, I believe our dealers now have most of the parts to upgrade the original to Turbo specs.

Menace,

I would absolutely love to do a review of the buggy if I could get a loaner buggy for a few weeks.

Well, if you are wanting a freeby, there are others who have asked, and have probably already been sent, the Turbo to test and write a review.

If you buy one you would not be far behind them!!
(Especially when you consider publication time lag after the've finnished their testing...........lol)

All the best
