Not if the internal pickup tube was leaking. There'd be no pressure loss from the tank to the 'outside world'. Think of it as a soda straw with a crack in it half way up. As soon as you drink the soda to the point that the fluid level is below the crack you're mostly suckin' air. That's whats happening inside the tank. It's not an outside leak.....so no bubbles during a submerged pressure check.

if the tank is good and you are getting air right from the tank you have a pressure problem from the tank to the pipe. if you are using 3 feet of fuel tubing the mtor could draw more then your sending out of the tank. if the pipe nipple is cloged you will have low pressure. make sure the pressure line is good,i always use 9 1/2". and the most common one is a motor with low compression will have a hard time building tank pressure which will give you the air bubbles and the flame outs.

Well the gaskets are good...New in fact
I'm not seeing any fuel in the pressure lines
Pretty much all I see is bubbles in the line
now its not all the time but when they do... its a whole bunch of bubbles.

pull the motor out and remove the pipe turn the flywheel over, does the motor have any compression? i see this alot, the last one i looked at i took the plug out and the pinch was so far gone that i could spin the flywheel and it would turn over about a 1/2 dozen times.

Well I know the motor has plenty of compression.... and also this has done it with a different motor..... tried that as well....
I hope i can figure it out soon...

what to do guys I have just been given a new team losi 8ight pro kit built and unused conditon.
should i
a. sell it on
b. use it onstead of the mbx5r see how i get on.
at the mintue im leaning towards selling it as i own a mbx5 prospec and mbx5r and i have about enough spare parts 2 build 2 other mugen buggys.

Either keep it and sell the Mugens, or keep the Mugens and sell it the Losi. IMO, sell the Losi.
There are really no similarities between the two, so up keep on both may be more than you want to do. If your Mugens are worn out more than you want to spend, then maybe go with the Losi since its new.

Fuel filter
Does anyone know which direction the fuel filter should face?
