Doubt I'm going to Alvarado. Won't be qualified, haven't been able to run an RC Pro race all year and can't make JCG this weekend. As far as what happened, we were drilling, and I need to move from one side of the net to the other and get in position to volley. As I came around the netpost I caught my wedding ring on the L-shaped supports for a ball tray, you can figure out the rest. That was in April, I couldn't even drive RC in the street until about the end of June. I believe I'm the only person that's ever done it that way. I had to explain it to my surgeon twice, none of the tennis pros I know have ever heard of it. Wrong place wrong time, LOL. If you're at JCG this weekend look for a guy named Andy Sady and watch him race. Pretty sure he's going. Then realize that he's only been back racing for about 3 weeks.

For "normal" size .12 carb throats I like the OS Super (102? maybe) filter best, it's the one where you stack two filters. I like the Motorsaver also, but if it's dusty you have to remove the element and blow the screen out b/w runs. For the TZ I use the Traxxas Jato filter. Fits in nicely towards the cab like Swen said the O'd does.

Looper, just found out Andy is not going to be at JCG. Too bad, the guy can wheel.

I'll be in Alvarado for finals. But I didn't drive the Duece at a pro event either. Of course with the luck I've had in 8th scale, it probably wouldn't be a good showing with the GT2. LOL.

Swen,

I only make venturi's for .21 engines.

The AE sets work in OS carbs. 170-180 and 190.

Ralph- The .21's and the .12 TZ slide carb have the same venturi with different inside diameters. The 5.5 Speed .12 venturi fits into the V Spec carb. I was just wondering if you make on smaller than 5mm or is 6 the smallest you make?

Really, I did not know that, seems like a big carb for a .12.

The smallest I make is the 6mm.

Thanks for the info.

this is a stupid question, but which direction does the starter box wheel need to be going? mine is going towards the rear of the truck. ive got the truck started a few times and it started correctly and wasnt going in reverse or anything but it seems to want to start with the wheels going in reverse most of the time. it well normally just die after a second or two when it does start that way but sometimes it starts in reverse and then the wheels start spinning the correct direction and the rpms pick up, if that makes any sense to anyone. ive never had a problem like this with my buggy and it got me thinking my starter box is spinning the wrong way. its a new truck and im trying to get the motor broke in.

With your RC10GT, or any other car that has a transverse mounted engine with the clutch on the right (passenger side) and the rear of the engine on the left (driver's side), the starter box wheel needs to spin towards the front of the car. This will rotate the engine in the counter-clockwise direction.

Yes your box is backwards , swap the positive and the negative wires around to get it to spin forward.

I'm running the Novarossi S12 Turbo head in my GT2 and love it. it real fast but controllable and gets crazy fuel mileage, usually 14 minutes or so to a tank running right around 190- 200 degrees. Also running the FT smoothie pipe with it.

Is it pretty easy to get a threaded shaft engine mounted up in the duece?
