I have yet to have any problems with the car. How often do you have to replace the clutch and brakes?

Been Good Joe how bout you?

[QUOTE=Turbo Joe]LOL...no kidding...those things die just laying on a table... My buddy killed 2 or 3 of them in his truggy.
Well you and your buddies must be hard on your servos. I have found the JR servos to be pretty durable. If the 590's 90 ounces of torque (6V) is not enough for the throttle/brake then I will upgrade to a more powerful servo. Has anyone that is having problems done what the Drake recommended? Cutting the throttle ballcup or spring shorter to eliminate coil binding of the spring.

No, he's only hard on JR servos. He gets good deals on JR stuff, so he always used the 590. I think I have a dead one or two still around here somewhere. He changed brands after he got a dead 9000 and had another one die in one tank and hasn't had a problem since.
Doin' good Mr. Tinbndr. Have anything else for sale?

I noticed there are more wires on the lipos what are they for?.... I know nothing about these batts but I want to switch to them because that tall lid is keeping my new crowd pleazer body from sitting flat.. I know I'm being picky but that's just how I am I guess LOL....... So if some one could fill me in on what to get and how they work that would be great!!! THank you!

Each cell of a Lipo pack puts out up to 4.2 volts. So, a single cell pack is not enough voltage, but two in series is a little much for most servos and some receivers. Therefore, it's pretty much necessary to run a voltage regulator to kick the voltage back down to around 6 volts.
I've been running the 3-amp rated Novak regulator for about a year in my 1/8th on-road car and now in the 8ight, and it's never let me down. Some will say that 3-amps is not enough, but I think that as long as your end-points are right it's enough. Finding a 5-amp regulator wouldn't hurt, but the VXR 5-amp regulator, last I heard, was 'noisy', and caused glitching in 75 mHz radios. They may have fixed it by now. If you're running 2.4GHz, you don't have to worry.
You need a proper charger to safely charge Lipos. They get charged at a constant current up until they hit a certain voltage per cell, and then they must automatically start to drop off the current to maintain that constant max voltage.
The safest way to charge is with the batteries in 'parallel' instead of 'series', which is why you see those extra wires and connector on many packs. It's to allow 'parallel' charging with a special charger.
I'm sure there is a lot more information about Lipos elsewhere on the forum, but that's an overview.

Great guys thank you!
Walt, where do you put the regulator?

Can anyone enlighten me on how different diff oil viscosities affect performance? Thicker, lighter, front, center and rear.

The Lrp is perfect

I've been using the VXR racing Regulater and Lipo in my buggy and found it to be very good, Although i would say that you can never have too many AMP's so the much more 7amp reg would be the one i recommend for buggy/truggy racing
I use spektrum no have had to issue's with noise,I also run a plug in capacitor to help with the Spikes in amp draw which all seems to work out very well ontrack
