Thumbs up

You will need some track preferred rubber. What ever the fast guys are running.
Get you a pipe that will tone down that motor!
Clutch shoes in 7075 and carbon with pins ans springs.
Get a front tower like the Marine said.

Get you something to put your balls in because you will need it. The RTR is ballistic with that motor when it comes to being on a track. Hint 50% EPA on a radio goes a long way!

Thank you both for your replies. Will look into those parts that need to be replaced.

Will also prepare my jewels TEX when I first run the kit.

Anyone know the exact stock kick-up built into the car? I just got the Losi adjustable ones and I would like to start at the stock setting.

The electronics have been dealt with already. Just need to know which parts on the RTR kit I need to upgrade and adjust in the event I decide to race it at my LHS's dirt track.

The engine and pipe will be used for the time being.

What must have option parts would I need?

Thanks to anyone who could help.
Go ahead and get the pro shock caps (top). the plastic ones will break on the first good accident. If you can spend a few dollars more and save alot of headache later get the CVD condoms on Amain. It will save you from missing a whole day of racing like I did when my CV came apart at a track that didn't carry the parts.

Talking I soo missed out!!!!

Mannnnn..... I want adjustable front kick butt! I mean "up".
I have always thought that would be a good way to go for the Losi.
Who made your kit?

I think Eck-Tec has one out now. I have their adjustable kit for the rear and it rocks.

Lots of cool trick new parts coming out.

Losi makes the adjustable blocks now, for both front and rear.

I just installed a Picco P7R Evo 2 in my 8ight and its a near perfect fit. The carb is a good 6mm or more away from the center diff housing when straight and its a near perfectly straight pull for the throttle linkage. I believe the Picco is the same block as the new Jammin engine and the Trinity Drake engines. I got a couple tanks through it and now I'm ready to take it to the track and tune it in. I'm hoping this will eliminate any potential carb binding and throttle servo issues.

If you pack the orings and spacers jack full of green slime that will do the trick for ya there. As for the servo issue its all about proper linkage setup which has been talked about all most all through this whole thread(lots of good stuff with good pictures).

I'm not sure what the locals here are doing, but I have not heard of a servo failure in a LONG time here. Last I heard they are all rubber mounted and there is fuel tubing on both sides of the throttle and brake linkages to cushion them during chassis twist on hard langings, etc.

Some Losi 8 pics for the thread, .

Unhappy setup

just wondering if anyone can pm me a set up for my losi 8 that would work well on a smooth but slippery track with a huge triple, table top and stutters ....... i cannot find a set up that works on my track. however my losi truggy seems like it is on rails thats how good the setup on that is but i cannot dial the buggy into our track. i had no problems running away at another track for the titles i qualified 30th/129 people. any help would be great

thanks

What setup do you have on the car and what is it doing that you don't like? Is it pushing, loose, on power off power, etc...?
