How do you tell if your clutch bell is done. Mine looks to be halfway covered with aluminum. Scotch brite, sand paper, and brake clean won't take it out. I have been running it this way for a while. Just wondering when to replace it. The teeth look really good. there is hardly any wear and tear on them.

Keep running it. The bell won't wear any thinner with alu shoes. That can be removed. I chucked my bell into a drill with a M5 bolt and spun it against a medium stone on a dremel (spinning the other way). It left it with a perfect surface.

thanks, that worked pretty good. Also I was going back together and I have excessive play front to back with the clutch bell. When I tighten the clutch bell screw it should take up the extra play. I have my shims in and good bearings. It looks to move about 1mm total travel. I don't remember this happening before. Any help on this one.

A 1/10 gas truck is harder to drive than an electric mod truck. Even with the mod motor the electric has smoother, more tractable power making it easier to drive.

For me at least, mod buggy indoor is much tougher than gas truck at an outdoor gas track... the gas truck feels so smooth and easy to drive, but then again that might be setup...

hey guys...i just finished the break in today (5 tanks)...using the Hitec 645MG...somebody from the track adjusted the fwd/and brake settings on my radio..so it will just have a very small movement on the servo when im hitting the gas and brake...i hope this servo will last or else my 8ight will be on Ebay..heheheh
