Well, I put one oring in below the battery box 'cause I dont have a 1/2 inch screw. The servos are still quite a bit off the chassis from the shim, spacer and rubber gromet I have had in. The tray does not flex at all at full throttle or brakes, but it seems like the spring is just to strong. I cut the ballcup and cut a link off of the spring, but now its just altering how much angle the servo horn has to push the carb closed. When closed though, the spring could be compressed about 3mm more (full brake) BUT the servo is buzzing quite a bit. Most likely the spring is just to hard. Ill just try to find a different spring. Thanks for the help so far. Till next weekend (or if the parts come before then)...

the servo is going to buzz when you are on the brakes, just make shure you aren't getting coil bind and you should be fine as long as everything else is setup correctly.

^^^ Well I wasn't getting coil bind when the two servos died... I hope its just a fluke.

I don't have a picture, but it's really as easy as it sounds. Put the screw through the chassis, put the o-rings on the screw, and thread it into the battery box.

rezenclowd - Are you using a digital servo for throttle?

Aaron: No I am not using a digital servo on either end. I am using the 94358s on both ends. I am sending them in Wed to get fixed, so ill post the report here once they are back.

Does anyone use the active braking systems on their controllers for their 8ights to create an "ABS" effect?

I'm wondering if using that function would create servo issues with the constant cycling while on the brakes.

i use my finger as a abs brake. i never just slam on the brakes. i pump them, I find i have more control over the way the car acts that way.

You only want to use ABS functions on your transmitter with electronic speed controls. I hear it hurts servos.

I have been thinking of modifying my radio by putting a piece of fuel tubing behind the brake trigger to make the spring much stiffer for brakes. I think it woudl give the brakes more "feel".

Although I'm fairly new to all this and could easily be wrong, I'm thinking an anti lock brake might not be beneficial while trying to correct mid air attitude in a jump where you need a quick response on the brake to nose down.

It would stop the wheels mid air just as fast.

I was more worried about long term effects on the servo.

If you are using tires with a square lug on the outside roll you can cut them at 45 deg angles to help them not bite as hard. You can also limited the rear droop, try a lower rear camber link position, lower the ride height. If none of that works and it's rolling really bad all over the track then stiffen the car up.

If it's just one or two corners I would weigh the need to fix the traction roll in one corner vs changing my setup much that will effect the car for the entire rest of the track if I was happy with it. In the corner that the traction roll occurs I would find another line or adjust the approach.

For you guys talking about the radio's ABS, It does run the RX batteries down faster due to the pulsing.
