I think all, or most, of the servo manufacturers recommend NOT to use digital servos on nitro throttle applications. Reason being is the digital servos put up more of a "fight" (they have more holding power) at neutral against the force the servo receives from the throttle return spring. So the digital servo motor is constantly changing it's position and "fighting" more rapidly heating the motor up until it fries.

Engine mount...the ragged side(fins) go outward like the top picture, except you have the mount on the wrong side of the engine.

JustinWZP, starter box wrap and wing wrap as promised. Will get more pics up when I'm completely done rebuilding my car. Still have shocks to do, plus I'm picking up one more "goody" for my car tomorrow

SUPERMAXRICH,
Very nice paint job. I really like the colors you picked. I have been looking for a few ideas and you gave me a great one.

Rich-
Those look perfect!! I'm ordering mine asap....I'll let him know you sent me.

That's the Mugen box....right?

I've been using the Team Magic box but I think I might switch over to the Mugen.

How do you have your box set up? I think I see some grinding work near the wheel. Did those two different pegs come with the box or are you using something aftermarket? Batteries?

I'm currently using the X5 with two Venom 4600s and it works well but I'm having durability issues with the wheel and one of the belts.

THANKS!!

I disagree, I have gone to Futaba and Hitec’s websites and there is no mention of this. The servo that fried was a Futaba 9351. Also if you look at the description of the Hitec 5996TG digital servos it recommends to use them on 1/8 throttle. Plus I have a 3PK with a Spektrum HRS system and you can’t run analog servos. Oh well, I guess if I keep on running the Losi looks like I will have to add servos to my list of consumables.

If your wasting throttle servos you must have something a miss . I have never lost a throttle servo , they wear out before they ever break! Your linkage and endpoint set-up is EVERYTHING ! be sure to check to see if your radio isn't messing up and over throwing at random ! I have had this issue before when running a Futaba radio ,I now run KO Propo ,much better.

Page 7 of 3PK manual (NEVER use non-digital servos with HRS receivers. Severe damage to all electronics may result, including the possibility of a fire. Only digital servos may be used with HRS receivers, including for throttle.) Did I miss something here?
