Default Servos

Hey guys. Been away from rc for a few years and am wanting to get back into it. What’s everyone running for servos?

I'm running AGF A80BHSW servos in all of my cars. The soft start feature is nice... it'll save your fingers at some point.

I have a few Savox servos and are starting to like them however I plan on getting a pro performance RC 1/8 servo next.

Higher torque for brakes and S spec for steering however stay above 250oz actual

325oz+ dynamic

Hitec 7950 / Hitec 7940.

Likely obsolete by now. No idea what they've replaced them with.

Of course it depends on application, but in my personal experience I've been very happy with the MKS and Savox servos. I have the MKS 550 in my MP10 for both steering and throttle/brake and they have plenty of speed and torque for the buggy. In my 1/10th scale I run the Savox servos. They're fast and affordable and I have had no problems with either.
Whatever you go with just be sure to get something with enough speed and torque for what you need. A poor or slow servo can really make for a disappointing experience with your car.

Got it, the MKS 550 is a solid choice. Aluminum case, good speed and torque. And at about 100 bucks they're not crazy expensive like some others.

just my opinion, hope it helps.

I have been running these servos in my truggy and buggy for a year now. They have been working great at a great price. The specs are on par with other servos on the market, look great and you can’t beat the price! Check them out

MKS 550 is a solid choice like others said. I run the in 1/8 ebuggy. I upgraded my nitro buggy to ko propo but they cost twice as much $200 a piece. They are smooth and fast though.
