Kyosho MP10 Thread

Some of the comments on this thread are hysterical and read as though they're coming from a 9-time IFMAR World Champion 1/8-scale buggy design engineer.
Kanai has 8 though, which is the most ever, so entertainingly enough I know that's not the case.

I wish they will be the winner for the next IFMAR,
signing as many top drivers as they can.

Def more changes and improvements than the manual initially led me on to. Happy to see that. This seems likely a pre order for me

Hi guys.
Can someone please tell me how it’s possible to use the outer holes on the susp arms, without loosing droop ?
what parts do i need for my TKI4 to do the same? Cant figure it out since it’s not the MS (50mm) front dampers. It’s expained in this thread without me understanding.

It appears that the CG has been moved forward. If you look at the front center universal it is 2mm shorter, and the rear center universal is 6mm longer than the MP9. Depending on other design features this would potentially move the center diff assembly and motor further forward on the chassis. If true, this is probably the biggest single game changer between the MP9 and MP10. This should provide more steering. This is also why a new chassis part number was required.

Yeah, I'm not sure how they achieved that. Having owned the MP9 tki3 in the past, you pretty much had no droop if you used the outer holes in the a arms. If I had to guess, I'd bet they lowered the shock towers mounts to achieve the added downtravel but what do I know.

"The widely updated suspension offers offset bushing inserts for easy wheelbase and toe angle changes and increased durability and stability was achieved by utilising 4.5mm diameter hinge pins. In addition the rear suspension mounts are 5mm wider, moving the shock mounting position further out on the rear arms, allowing to use softer shock oils for less performance fading during temperatures changes."
That's actually a a substantial change to the car. Also, from the photos, the car looks to have much more rear droop...

By widening the rear pivot they increased the rear roll stiffness. My guess is the lower shock mounting holes also moved out a little bit too, that would give the arm less advantage against the shock meaning the shock can be softer.
At at least that’s how I read the press release.

Does anyone have an idea on when these kits will be shipping out?
