I went all out with my build a few months back. Figured i'd just build it to be the best it can be right off the bat. Was going to sell it, but had second thoughts after all the money I put into it. Here is my setup:

MT410 kit
AllRacing 7075 aluminum front and rear gearbox cases (not installed yet)
M2C front, center, and rear aluminum diff cases (100k, 500k, 80k)
M2C Game Changer Wide Body chassis kit
M2C Short Rear center brace
M2C Go Big Rear tower/chassis kit v2
M2C Front shock tower brace kit
Tekno 7075 Emulsion shock caps (shocks have 800cst oil all around)
Tekno CNC 7075 Aluminum Split Center Diff mount
Tekno 44t Hardened Steel, lightened spur gear
Aluminum front top plate brace
Jconcepts Ford pickup body
Proline Badlands 3.8" Monster Truck tires/wheels
Castle Mamba Monster X ESC w/ XT90 plug
Castle 1515 2200kv motor
ProtekRC 170SBL servo

Planning on running it on 4s mainly, might test a 6s out to see how it is.

Holy F. This truck drives unbelievable. I've never had a Tekno 1/8 scale, but this is the best handling MT I've ever driven. Mind blown.

Call me weird but I got rid of mine because it handled too good. Didn’t really feel like a monster truck felt pretty much what it is buggy with mt wheels and wide arms lol. I’m just too old school I guess

I wish I didn't get the Traxxas Maxx and stuck to my original plan of getting the MT410. :(

Well I'm going off the deep end with this build. I just ordered the M2C Game Changer wide body chassis. Now I need to figure out if the short center rear brace (M2C 6755) will fit with the game changer chassis. I also need to sell the center brace for the stock chassis as the game changer came with a mega brace.

EDIT: I'm an idiot, jamesbernatchez already posted his build with both the game changer and short center rear brace.

I'm going to hold off on building till m2c releases their new shock towers as well. I called m2c and asked if the go big kit would work with the shock towers, and he said that it would, but it would be massively overkill lol.

Yeah, that’s how many people react the first time they drive a Tekno MT.

Some slight tuning from stock setup has it working great. I never ran the 100k/50k f/r, I would guess it wouldn’t turn.

Dropped over $1500 on an SMT10 earlier this year and truly with I would’ve gotten this too.

I really hope I feel the same way about the MT410. I'll be into mine about $1400 before ever driving it and naturally I'm wondering if I made the right choice over something like an SBR 2.0 or even a DBXL-E 2.0.

Do you guys think there will be a newer mt410

Possibly, but I would've expect it before the truggies or short course truck... new trucks are on the way in a few months, and nothing has been said about an updated sct410.3

lighttravler 12-30-2020 05:50 AM

Ok thanks I was worried about that. I did not want to pull the trigger. Then later they update most or all of the areas I see people updated through M2c. So I will wait I also was waiting on the truggy as well.

RazorRC 12-30-2020 01:32 PM

I'm just assuming, but...

Anytime a company wants to work on a project, they have to take into account the cost and the return on investment. For the race kits, they obviously have to keep updating the vehicles because the competition keeps improving their race kits. But some race classes are slowing down/dying (i.e. shortcourse), so there's not a real reason to invest more into that segment.

For the MT410, it's already lightyears ahead of everyone else in terms of performance and durability. Unless it's cheaper for them to base it off a newer ET platform, then I don't see any real return on investment for them to update it.

My guess anyway!

lighttravler 12-30-2020 07:21 PM

I hope it is a new kit coming.
