thx 👍, I considered tinting the windows but I like to see inside the MT so I can quickly check the pinion/spur. I chewed up a plastic spur when I first got it but since switched to the metal spur gear and it's been awesome.

Budki , Today
I ordered an MT410. Something I am stuck on is tires. I see a lot of people using 3.8 badlands. I see there is the badlands 3.8 and the MX38 badlands 3.8. Before I spend $100 on a set of wheels, besides cosmetics are there performance differences between these tires? And just in case, is there a better basher tire for the MT410?

The MX38's are bigger than the standard 3.8 badlands. As for performance they are both good tires and you cant go wrong with either set. Over on the tekno forums guys are running the dBoots backflips and say they are on par.

Is there a difference in chassis length between this and the outcast ? Also does the proline even compare as far as durability to either ?

Size comparison can be found here -

I don't have experience with the proline mt but it seems like a good truck with the weak point being the servo saver. I'm sure the guys in the proline MT thread could give you a better idea of durability.

for the same price I would go with the mx38 every time over the regular badlands. Whether in 2.8 or 3.8 I have converted to the MX series for all my cars.

If anyone is looking for T-Bone bumpers and a chassis brace, I just posted new ones in the classifieds.

Larger diameter/heavier (mx38s) will wear down your drive train quicker, need more power to move, increase rotating mass and produce a higher center of gravity. They also require a high torque servo of 450oz+ if you want proper control. I have them and they are great tires but I wouldn't choose them for every scenario.

Chassis braces and body mounts , and an aluminum servo arm are about it . Tekno makes the strongest arms in the business
Congrats on the new purchase 👍

The trade off, if any in the context of the extremely durable mt410, is more than worth it in my time with them. Running 4s and 2200 kv motor with a savox 1270 servo I have no complaints.

life is too short to baby a purpose built monster truck as overbuilt as the tekno.

Will the savox 1256tg be ok running 2.8 badlands or should I order something new? Just what I have on hand
