I love the hinged design!

I made a template to line up the holes on the rear tower.

I used a M3 center locating punch to mark the holes.

Drilled nice and straight.

Connected.

I used the existing hole in the front tower and used the Losi post.

I drilled a hole right in the middle of the front support for the post.
Looks great Overkill. Have you thought about adding some rc8t wider hubs?
A little extra width can really help keep it on its feet when you’re cruising at ridiculous speeds.

Quick question. After reading and going back and forth on trying to make up my mind on my next project

What are the absolute must have upgrades? Servo arm, steel center diff gear from what I’ve read are definitely on the top of the list.

What’s the largest motor that will fit? Since this truck is lighter in what I mess with a 4038 1700kv motor should fit or maybe a 4038 1550kv Tekin be enough?

You definitely need an aluminum servo arm. But the plastic spur gear is very durable. A steel spur is a nice upgrade but definitely not essential.

Yeah I’ve yet destroyed my mt4’s plastic gear so I can leave that off.

I got a airtronics rx/tx a Hitec 7050th and a sanwa servo Tekin gen3 rx8 and half set of trencher x’s that I was gonna use on other build

Is the truck about as big as the mt4? If so then I’m down

Also best deal to get one at? No local HS carriers in my area

It’s right about the same size as an MT4-g3. I can take a pic of the two side by side tomorrow. I got both my Tekno mt410 and et48.3 slightly used with extras on eBay and saved a few hundred dollars over new.

The steering top plates are in production and I've got a large order of them coming to the US soon.
