I agree. I converted my 3gallon roller (Basically new), Motor: Traxxas XO-1 1650kV, ESC: Traxxas MXL-6S, motor plate etc. for Roughly $685.
I am just happy that Losi is continuing with this awesome platform. Looking forward to reviews.

I'm dying for one of these, but I'm also contemplating leaving the hobby.... So torn as to what to do.

Well, I've got mine home and unboxed this evening. I prefer Deans, so I've made that swap. Weather permitting, I will get it out tomorrow for it's maiden voyage.
First impressions...
1) Upon opening the box, I was a little surprised at the shade of blue on the body. All of the pics I've seen to date make the blue look like a medium royal blue (or at least that's what I interpret). It's not....mine is most definitely a dark teal. Obviously no biggie, just thought I'd mention it.
2) I may have totally missed it, but I was not aware it would come standard with sway bars front and rear...so that was an added bonus.
3) My truck weighed 12.6lbs on my scale.
4) It may prove me wrong, but I just don't see this tiny little ESC keeping up with the truck long term. I guess only time will tell, appearance wise, it's puny looking.
I will see if my wife will be a good sport and take some video tomorrow when I take it out tomorrow.

Mine has been shipped. Shipped yesterday. First FedEx tracking said the 18th now it says tomorrow to bad either way I have to have my kids watch me open it on the 19th. Unless I rebox my birthday present.
