tmaxx conversion questions

I am converting my tmaxx to emaxx, I only have a mount for 550 size motor, but I need a 1/8 one. Can somebody tell me whether there is a 550 size, and 1/8 brushless motor? Or I can buy a mount for castle mamba system if any of you have one. Thank you

If you are converting your Tmaxx over to electric. This is the web sight to goto. How2RC.com John is the owner and has a bunch of videos to watch and learn how to convert the Tmaxx over to electric. I just purchased one of his stainless steel 1/8 scale motor mounts. Here is a bit of info that I will share with you. You will appreciate it when you decide if this is the way you want to go with the truck. When I went to mount the stainless motor mount I had the stock 72 tooth spur gear mounted. I went out and purchased a couple different traxxas spur gears for the Tmaxx. I purchased a 68 tooth and a 64 tooth spur gear and a couple different pinion gears. The 68 tooth just clears the mount and is the biggest spur gear that can be run with this mount. I have not finished my truck yet. I just finished disassembling the two speed Tmaxx transmission and installed the single speed conversion kit. Only two Traxxas part numbers are needed for the conversion. They slip my mind right now but they are mentioned on the www.How2RC.com web sight. I went with the single speed conversion for the simplicity and the ESC and motor will take care of any need for reverse. I added a roll cage and I purchased an extended chassis from a 4907 Nitro 3.3 Tmaxx. It is not necessary but the extra 1.5 inches will make the truck handle better. I am waiting for the Traxxas CVD center drive shafts that I got from Ebay to fit the 4907 chassis. I am currently am shopping for a power plant to install in the truck. Some of the contenders I am considering are the Hobbywing 150A, Castle Creations Mamba Monster kit, the Arrma 6S BXL ESC & Motor, The new Traxxas Kit that is soon to be released this month. Hobbyking is also a cheep candidate but I am a little scared to buy one of there ESC's. I purchased one a while ago for a Losi Ten SCTE 4x4 and it only lasted about 10 mins. I would like to run two 4S batteries for longer run times. I am not going to go crazy with upgrade or hop up parts. I figured that I would upgrade as things break. This truck is going to be my basher truck but I am looking forward to using the truck again. The nitro is fun when it works but I find it to be too finicky for my liking. Not to mention that the noise is just plane annoying. Good luck with your build and keep us posted with your progress.

This is my second version of my conversion. I originally went with the How2Rc motor mount. But with the power and torque with the motor it bent the motor mount. So I decided to go with another style mount.
