is that the hpi engine stop in front of the gas tank?

tomnaess 12-08-2005 07:33 AM

On this vid i am at tank 17, the settings is still rich and i think it is shifting directly to 3 gear. It is snow in Norway so i have only been driving about 2 more tanks after this vid. Its not easy to tell if it performs better driving in snow, the engine has a lot more top end than this vid shows. It starts like a dream, its very easy to tune and no problems. I love this engine. It performs almost as good as my Collari 32 (the Collari is sent back to the factory for warranty repair).

The thing in front of the fuel tank is the HPI engine stopp system, works great.

No compression? :( Something's gotta be wrong - get it checked out.

Mine has lots of compression, have you tried starting the engine?

That's great - but I've got one question: will it work with the EZ-Start System using the Traxxas big bore conversion kit in a Revo?

If so, I'm very interested.

I feel the same way as biggen, it's no Collari as far as torque, that's for sure. I've got about a gallon thru my OS .30 and it's just not doing it for me. I had a friend video tape some runs with it and he kept saying your Mach ran better than that.

os .30

have you checked the head bolts? mine needed retorqued because it leaked.

tomnaess 12-11-2005 11:37 AM

I also had a leak because i tried to remove one of the head shims, i had to put both shims back on. IT was ok after that. This engine also likes a rich setting. My HSN is at the factory settings 2, 3/4t, it has lots of power.

hey guys,

i'm new here, and VERY new to RC cars (but totally addicted to them).
i was just wondering if it is possible to convert a pull start OS 30vg to a roto start for an LST2 and how I could do that? Can I just use the roto start plate from the mach 427?
forgive me if i am totally dumb, I really don't know much about this (plus i'm a girl :D)

cheers!
Nat

they make a rotostart version of the 30,

dreamaxx 04-24-2006 05:35 PM

yeh i know they come in a roto start, but the one i'll be getting is a pull start from a friend....

FL Speed Freaks 04-24-2006 07:39 PM

You will need the roto-start backplate.

FL Speed Freaks 04-24-2006 07:41 PM

here is a link to the part on tower.
