40series, run regular maxx size 17mm's or the new losi 8T wheel (38 series). less mass by far. if u run the 17mm's, go buy GS buggy hubs. they or mugens will drop right on

and btw, the mach 427 engine is the best nitro engine i ever came across in terms of power, reliability, lack of tuning needed, and gas mileage. well that is nitro anyway, back to all electric these days.

You guys have been a ton of help, and I think I will go with the picco 28 either as the backup for the 427, (depending on it's performance) or use it as my race engine, and have the 417 back up the picco.

My LST will be in this Friday, and I hope to break in the motor this weekend, depending on the weather. The NW has our first PRO-Series race the first weekend of February, and I want to race the LST instead of the REVO. Either way I will be getting some throttle time.

Problem with cloned vehicles is that they are more often then not just copied in design. They rarely are copied to the point that parts off the brand name match or fit the clone.
They are rarely of the same quality as well.
I have seen this with tmaxx's and lst's
There are a ton of ebay vehicles that are extremely cheap and of low quality. People who do not know any better (not their fault) are being preyed upon by incredibly low prices and do not realize the product they are getting or why it is such a good price.

I work part time in my lhs and it is frustrating to have people come in with these type vehicles and have to tell them that I can't get parts or help them with their trucks. 99% of the time it is an ebay purchase.

here is a tmaxx clone:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1-8-BIG-MONSTER-...QQcmdZViewItem

One is advertised as a monster truck that will do over 85 mph. blatent lies.

kind of off topic but the lst has been copied/cloned.

i was told that you cant run 40 series tire on the 420 series rims.so i was thinking i should order some tires but decided to wait.i have some 40 series prolines at the house from a t-maxx i never use .so i tried to fit them and ahhh yes perfect fit so you can use 40 series on 420 series rims so whats the difference in tires?

There is no difference in the tires.
losi uses 20mm hex hubs on the lst2. So..... Only losi 420 wheels will fit on the stock 20mm hubs. Yet another way manufacturers try to keep your hard earned $$$ flowing into their own pockets.
Any 40 series tires will fit fine on the losi 420 rims.

Default LST2 Picco .28 Upgrade

I just purchased this truck 2 week's ago. Blew out the stock engine because of a tranny problem. I upgraded the engine to a Picco .28 First day running blew out stock manifold to I had to upgrade to Hard Version of the pipe. Also I converted the stock tranny to the foward only converison and the high speed grears. and let me tell you even running the truck super rich. It's insaine. It's really really fast. The picco .28 is a great upgrade and an inexpensive one. I also hade 2 upgrade the battery and replaced it with a lipo. 2000. I'm not using a voltage regulator and it's just fine with no problem's. it's rated at 7.4 and everybody tells me you must use a regulator. But one of my buddies has an LST and he has been running the lipo pack for a year now with no problems at all. And I'm using it now and i actually get to play with my truck for hours without any problems. I put such a beating on the truck every time i take it out. and have not broken anything. It flips hit's crashes dead on. It's strong. Really Strong. Love this truck. I'm sure everyone who has one. Loves it 2. Anyway's ttl.

Okay I have a lst with beadlock rims, when I start to build up speed one side or the front balloons up, you know get taller and flatten out. Any ideas on what, why and how to fix this.

You can fix the ballooning problems by getting stiffer foams or belting the inside of your tires. You do this by putting strips of duct tape or electrical tape on the inside of the tire. I would recommend OFNA Molded foams.

Definitely get some type of foams. You will notice better steering, more even tire wear, and better handling with foams.
