Default E-Savage advice

I just picked up an E-Savage this morning for $75 artr I have to pick up a couple of batteries for it and a body but everything else is there. So hope you guys can give me some advice on different things I should do to it so it's reliable. I'm going to be giving it to my wife to keep her in the hobby with me and my son.

the weak link seems to be the drive axles....make sure you have the slipper clutch fairly loose and it helps. Other than those axles I have not broken much and I am running mine with a 1/8 brushless system

I found that the sliders broke, but the worst was the spur / slipper melting if you try and run the slipper clutch loose. Also when using heavy tyres the front diff cops a belting so go for lightweight.
