MIP Thread!!!!
#1
Hi guys, this is Matt over at Morre's Ideal Products better known as MIP. I would like to start a new MIP based thread so I can get some feedback about our products. The good, the bad, and everything in-between, bring it all on ! I'm the customer service/ tech guy over here so if you have any questions, or need help, make sure to hit me up.
We also have a couple new products in the works, the first of which is our Realshocks Bypass 1 product. Check out Velocity RC Magazine's vid for a detailed overview with Eustace Moore (MIP Owner).
visit vrcmag.com for the vid
Enjoy!
Regards,
Matt

Bypass 1 looks to be a different approach to a variable damping piston (VDP) shock.
I’ve been using the VDPistons in 1/8 scale shocks for a few years with good results but it took a lot of experimenting to get them to respond the way I wanted.
Bypass 1 appears to be easier to setup with a lot more options.
The capability for complete bypass is a big +
Are these going to be sold as a complete shock, or as a kit to retro fit existing shocks?

Question I bought the axles for the erevo. Is there any possibility we could get them larger 3 out of 4 are bent ? I've straightened them several times the best I could but they are no where true. I don't wanna buy replacements the same size as they will just bend.

It's not exclusive to the MIP axles

The XDUTY is an awesome upgrade and allot stronger than the Summit shafts

When I got my first set of MIP cvd's for my Gold tub RC10, it made a world of difference to the car, I used MIP cvd's on all my RC10B2's and T2
..but I sold my B2 cvd axles a week before I started restoring my Gold tub
and didn't know that the B2 cvd's would fit on my older RC10

Hey MIP MATT!
I just wanted to say that I recently got 4 MIP/Thorp Hex Drivers and they are the best Hex drivers I have ever seen. Keep up the great work. I'd love to see even more tools like maybe Phillips and flathead and even Nut Drivers.
One small idea/tip/suggestion.
I noticed that you have reference material and spec sheets for your products but you don't happen to have instructions sheets for parts that are listed under a different manufacturer name. Like, I use HPI 80837/80804 Front CVD's made by MIP for my RS4 2. I was originally trying to figure out if the RS4 3 CVDs would work on my car and all this stuff got very confusing...
It would be nice if more parts were listed with the specs(length etc...) so that we can see what may or may not be cross compatible with other cars. Also the Instructions page isnt very easy to navigate. You cant even see the full file name on some of them. All those things would have been very helpful when figuring out what parts i needed to buy.
Anyway Keep making great products!
